  1. Not yet. Got the scooter and tire changer in there now until the motor gets put back into my bike. Need space. Will take some maybe a bit later. Whatcha wanna see? I can take some and email ya.
  2. I got asked a question from another site trying to compare SHIFT vs. Spartan... Well, after some thought, here's what I responded with and figured it was good to post here... Here's the deal - I'm not going to bash another company. Go with what YOU feel is a good buy. I will say this, however... SHIFT has small things like an access panel that allows designers and QC people to validate the leather from the underside. SHIFT people can then stop production IMMEDIATLEY and visit the factory regularly to make changes if need be. The idea is that while any suit and jacket CAN protect you in most crashes is something you can hope for. Or, you can KNOW that there are suits that are made with the utmost QC, the utmost concern about standards being met and being able to watch over the entire process is something that is worth some piece of mind. Here's a suit that shows what protection it can offer worn by a pretty familiar name... Facts: -Shobert was running about 6th fastest on July 3rd's Laguna Sec's event. -600cc machine. -FASTEST part of the track. Was at about 153mph. -Hit oil from a blown motor. -WALKED AWAY. Shobert's son wrote SHIFT a personal letter thanking them for the way the make the suit. He is an off the rack suit kid... He also apologized for ruining the suit!! Here is a shot of the suit: This is a real life scenario. Fast kid doing great things on a bike. Not a deal where a guy was riding a motard at a track, not riding with buddies and low sided at the Gap. It's a scenario where extreme feedback from extreme events garnish feedback to make products better... ANY changes that come up or need to be made can be implemented within days. ANY issues that are shown via production can be changed and resolved within DAYS. Food for thought...
  3. Had mine almost two seasons now and it is as clean as it was when I got it. Just cleaning it after each round/track day goes a LONG way...
  4. If you are Cleveland, maybe Todd#43 can chime in. It's a no brainer job to do, though... I suggest 35 Motorsports, too but from Cleveland? Bit of a drive...
  5. Correct. 54/44 or 52/42... Sorry 'bout that - good catch.
  6. The 52 would fit you perfect, Nate. Reuben wears a 52 and you seem about his size...
  7. You might fit the 52... They need to fit tight and a lot of guys seem to think tight is too small. Tight is what you want so it doesn't roll when you hit the pavement... I'd almost bet you'd fit the 52...
  8. Pretty decent difference. They fit similar to AStar's top end stuff. I would say the 52 is more for a guy that is under 6' and about 165-ish. The 54 will fit someone like myself at 6' - 6'2" and about 185-195 in weight...
  9. No, these are different ones. I have a "Gay Mexican" colorway and the white w/ pinstripes... I have these for sale seperate from my own...
  10. It gives you wings, man. Oh, wait... That's been used... It knocks 2 seconds a lap off once placed upon your body...
  11. No longer available. Had a guy that I was getting these from shaft me. I usually am a reputable seller and had to rely on someone else. That led to me dealing with an impatient person who apparently couldn't wait a single day. I think Dubguy is the only one affected. PM and we can discuss if anyone was wanting one. I MIGHT be able to find one for you...
  12. Just checking to see if you mightbe interested in selling these seperate...
  13. I could do either dates, too. Oh... wait... I'll probably be there at both...
  14. Buddy of mine that works up at Rousche Motorsports in Medina (parts Manager) has a yellow Wing and can wheelie it and grind the tail pipe tips. Awesome to see in person... Strange, but cool. I could never do it... Used to also have a buddy with an ST1100 that would wheelie with his G/F on the back. Not pop, but rode a wheelie all the time... Just looks funny that big and such...
  15. All I know is that Serpent has some seriously RETARDED MAD SKILLS when it comes to bodywork. He really needs to be making sets to sell. His attention to detail is superb and honestly, I think he could sell some stuff and make good money... Might have to be lesser quality to justify costs and to allow for production speed, but his stuff is (at least via the pics I have seen) top shelf.
  16. Again, it can time out. Just because it has that many miles doesn't mean it cannot still have issues. It could have been a theft recovery like you mentioned and was ragged to shit and back. It only takes a little to do a lot... I think $4k is way too high. Again, for no more than $1k, he can find a newer one with less miles and been in better care... Sounds like it is all a moot point, though...
  17. Cf7x had newer generation motors... They are known to blow at times, but you really only hear a lot of bad stories. There's PLENTY of good stories, too. Plus, one of the motors was built by someone and who knows how much time was on it - it easily could have timed out. Remember, track stuff - especially built race/track stuff requires a shit load more servicing. The cost to maintain is higher and most guys aren't willing to pay to keep it that way... The bike in question here is probably fine with those miles on it. But again, who really knows?
  18. The thing is about the last pic is the guy is not off the bike enough. He is doubtful to be as fast as you through the same corner... I don't buy that. He needs to get off a bit more and less stiff armed. He has KILLER potential, but you don't want to draw a straight line from center of the wheel and go up and get your head, chest and shoulder on the line... He's too up on top of the bike... He leans off more and he goes faster...
  19. Huh? You have a Technik, right? I was refering to the Spartan shit...
  20. They sure do. You crash and dent or scratch the frame, you can get that replaced. Totalled frames and wheels are common and that helps to total the bike. I've seen bikes totalled that were well enough to take back on the street. Ding in the frame or a small chip on the wheel and it's a goner... My point was that you (as shown by even this example) may NEVER know the truth - it could be a fine bike or it could have been hammered...
  21. Another great example to add to the pile of there's no way to teach a perfect riding style to ANYONE... Plus, Jason has edited his riding style over the years. Each bike sometimes requires different ways to ride them to get the most out of them...
  22. Also, the guy's feet are all fucked up... Chicken wings are for flyin' - not ridin'... Personally, I think like what a lot of guys are saying - I think he's not a very experienced rider and knew the camera guy was there. In knowing, he is forcing the knee down and exaggerating his poor style even more...
  23. My feelings are that he is poor on form. I'm not worried about the apex or where he is on the road... The guy in front is on the same line... He has more of an MX rider style with the head up and over the center of the bike. He's forcing the knee out from what i can tell... He needs to get his ass off more and get his head out away from top of the center line of the bike in my opinion... I like Nate's position here as well as the guy behind him. The guy behind is close to the guy pictured we are discussing, but is more off to the side and more forward from what I can tell. The guy pictured above is literally close to being right and like I said, there's no "right way", but he is definately needing work... Less Dragon and more track day will help that... Here's Nate again... As for the suit... Well that's a whol 'nother thread...
