A lot of interest in suits recently so, a bump in case people might be considering one. I am willing to do $475 IF you meet me to pick it up. I won't ship at that price. So, I pass through CBus, Dayton, and Cincy ALL the time. Anywhere there or in between on my routes for work and we can meet and get this done.

Not to take away sales from STG, but I have a great SHIFT SR-1 suit. check the classifieds. It's a better choice and will fit more like it should. Plus, it is on par with AStar as the designer who did the AStar suits for the past 5 years is the one who designed the SHIFT suit...

Suggestion - Icon helmets are VERY heavy. Provide decent enough protection, but they are not good track helmets. Maybe consider a new or different lid... Other than that, good job on getting your stuff in line. See you at the track.

Celtic suits are good. Not great, but good. They are slightly baggy and not as form fitting as I'd prefer. But, for the money, it is tough to beat.

A few things... Was that Advanced group? That was about 1:29s from my math on the clips. That's not good in that traffic at those times. Anyways, QUIT LOOKING BEHIND YOU!! That kills time and is dangerous at the points you were doing it. Your line choices looked good once you got into certain areas of less traffic. Another thing is drive. Those guys that waxed you on the straight? They had better drive because they were kept in sight in the corners following. They had liter bikes, but honestly, it isn't that kind of difference unless it is drive. Also, it's really cool and fun riding with buddies, but get away from them as soon as you can. You were visibly faster than they were and you looking over at them and hanging out and holding up to keep with them is dangerous and can cause issues. Get with riders that are your speed and ability. You'll go faster and get better as a result. Being held up by friends is not a way to improve. They'll find people their speed and get better doing that, as well...

Not able to speak for Flouder and Schmuckingham, but they MIGHT be interested in a dick waving contest. I know I heard Flouder's pants unzip from here and I am 40 miles away...

If so, why don't you guys take anything from track riding and implement it into your street riding?, right? Let me guess, you aren't real good at criticism? So, you hide behind funny little side comments and smirk signs. That's cool...

I can only imagine the conversations held between Casper and CBRGirl... Bet it would be a blast.
-
Most guys mess it up and don't crash. They go in too slow and waste a lot of time there...
-
Oh, there are plenty of examples of guys on turds older than that Katana. They used to race those so, they aren't out of the realm of being able to ride them well on the track. Even stock. Now a guy on a KZ1000 with only suspension mods (read front internal valves and oil and WB rear shocks - dual, that is) running sub :50s at Mid-Ohio and showing kids a wheel 1/3 his age is impressive...

Right, because street is exactly like track. On the track, they don't lean off, keep a very straight upper body position and leave knees and feet pointed outward... Wait, I might have that wrong - maybe that is what they do on the street. Hmmmm... That vid looks better, I guess, but try and hook up with some instructors to better your riding style. Not only would it be better for you on the track, but also for the street. You are wasting so much energy and fighting things instead of working smoothly and efficiently...

I was refering to Reuben at Putnam on his 03 CRF450... The only "fast guy" I've seen on a Motard is Cobb... There's a lot of fast guys riding them, but he's F A S T.

So, was the John Deere comment just being silly or are you serious about selling it? I was serious about getting a dollar amount from you...

Not to be an idiot (it comes naturally), but what is "CR"?

I like the guys weaving to "scrub" their tires... Christ. Guys, I think Mello is getting a kick out of the responses he is getting and does this as Casper stated - for attention. That's cool. The problem I have is that there are probably good riders within that group and the groups on the other vids. However, just like using Ohio Riders, it is the group as a whole that represents the riders. That's the shame. There are a TON of bad things going on outside the typical goon riding shown at times. Poor riding practices may not always get people hurt, but the way they stack, the scrubbing, the line riding and crossing, the body positioning, etc all add up to a situation where IF and WHEN it does go wrong, innocent riders are going to get hurt let alone the possibility of any bystanders or general public people in cars that have nothing to do with the whole ordeal. That's all I am going to say. These guys think it's cool and they like the attention. They're all budding racers, too and it is fun to watch them "blossom". There's an image that is attached to these guys and until they realize that, they're not going to get a whole lot of respect until they grow up and understand how it all works. Like I said, I am no saint, but I get it and it was brought to my attention at an early point where I understood and went the route I did. I can only hope they get it soon enough...

FS: Sidi Vertebra Race Carbon Boots Sz 11 NIB...
Moto-Brian replied to Moto-Brian's topic in LBTS GLWS
Yeah, that's mine. I am keeping my friend's team colors for now. She'll hopefully be getting a new color scheme come Spring. No prob on the boots. They're here and ready for a new owner. Get the right size instead of sacrificing. You'll be happier if you do. -
He'd probably drop a few seconds if he'd quit looking over his shoulder... Nice target fixation at about the :50 mark by the vid guy... Other than that, a lot of guys are out killing it on purely stock machines. I've seen a certain guy annoy SV650 riders on a stock CRF450 motard at Putnam. They'd only get him on the straights and he'd CRUSH them in the corners... Stock rear shock and simply oil change in the forks... Always a neat deal when guys ride well on stock bikes...

Not busting balls, just making sure people aren't expecting "fully adjustable" with that set... Just 411, sir. 411...

Just cut it and shorten it. Easy.

who makes aftermarket bike transmission parts
Moto-Brian replied to 12oclocker's topic in Tech and Tips
Not a good idea... They'd have to get a certain type of hardened steel and such to work. You're looking at so damn much money in tooling and design to get it right that you'd be better off just buying the sprockets you need and slapping them on and off as you desire. Just change the gearing and get a spare rear rim so you can swap them out for parking lot and street. Get two chains as the lengths will be different. You could change a chain and rear rim in under 10 minutes easily enough and be on your way... -
FS: Sidi Vertebra Race Carbon Boots Sz 11 NIB...
Moto-Brian replied to Moto-Brian's topic in LBTS GLWS
Here's the skinny. The AStar boots are gone. I thought I still had new ones and they are gone and all I have are used ones. The Diadora boots are being held for Nick as he has first dibs. If he doesn't want them, I'll post PMs to you other guys asking... As far as the Sidi boots, looks like Fas Duc is not interested from what I know. Therefore, they are back up and are now at $160 FIRM. That's a stupid killer deal on these... I guess what I am going to start doing is have people meet me at a time that suits both parties. I try and go out of my way to make it easy in terms of me meeting anywhere, leaving them with some really cool buddies, but in the end, I think doing it one on one is best. So, interested? Shoot me a PM and give me details where and when is best for you and I'll let you know if it works and I can meet up. Sorry for being so hard to work with, but I think it needs to roll this way... -
Not sure what the deal is with your worry on angle. You're not going to notice 2 degrees. You can move clip-ons in and out to suit your feel easily and more times than not, angle never seems to be an issue. Ever... Buy something that is known. Shitty material in an effort to save money can lead to breaks and that's never a good thing. Good quality aluminum material used on the clamps is important and also the quality of the bar. Will it bend or break when crashed? That sort of thing. Saving $40 on an item that is as important as controls isn't something i am willing to risk... You can go Baller style and find a set of Yosh clip-ons or something exotic like that...
-
How are they fully adjustable? They're just like any other clip-on... Overall, you aren't going to find much of a difference in angle. Most clip-on companies have you search by diameter rather than bike and angle. I would stick with Vortex or Woodcraft. The Attack ones look nice, but I'm not sold on a pivot point vs. bolting the clamp on... Probably would be fine, but using what works is great - trying to re-invent the wheel is sometimes nothing more than simply trying to set yourself apart with gadgets. Plus, if you ever go to a track day, understand that Vortex and Woodcraft are the two most used clip-ons and more likely to have spare bars around should you need them... Try and avoid screw in bars as they are more money and typically ruin the bar and the bolt that holds them on. You can usually find spare bars easily enough from the three mentioned above or other places like Speigler's LSL bars, etc...
