  1. I agree. There's no rule so, why not? Plus, like Noch stated - guys like Kawi Kid are posting smilies and stupid stuff just to bolster post counts. Again, no biggie and more power to them, but in reality, I could care less how many posts you have...
  2. From what site are these? Is it a members only site? These are awesome!
  3. Actually kangaroo is thinner, but it's strength is higher than leather and therefore a better wieght to strength ratio and preferred. But, like I said, more money... and harder to get...
  4. Not sure what you are asking here, but I'll give her a shot... Suit - 2 piece or one piece. Needs to be cowhide or kangaroo. Hard to get kangaroo and it is more money. Not legal for sale in CA and really the only reason it is tough to buy here in the States. Most top shelf suits are adequate. Really high end suits are great, but they are thin leather due to weight and racers wanting the lightest they can get - read as typical privateer and track day guy wants to be able to wear a suit after a few crashes. Top, high end suits are good for one blast usually and very expensive. If you are Pro and get stuff for free, that's the way to go. Water Wetter is old school. You need to buy something like Maxima Kool-Aide. There are others, but I don't use them due to not being allowed for racing. The hoses are a waste of money unless you are racing and even then, not many use them unless you are a factory rider or get them free...
  5. I'll be down next Wednesday in that area. Pm me your email and I will shoot you some more info and pics...
  6. Oh, and at that height and weight, you'll be a 44/54 vs. 42/52. It's a height issue more than anything...
  7. Little self promotion here, but I have a brand new or used SR-1 SHIFT suit for sale. If you are a 52/42, I have a new generation Vertex suit in the white like seen on the race bike at Pony. Seems my buddy wants the black one instead... Anyways, a few things I have noted. The SG-1 AStar suit is a boxier cut suit and is not really a serious track day suit. No aero hump and the seams are not well thought out. Good suit for little money, but realize that if you go onto www.wera.com and look for a gently used suit or a sponsored rider with a new suit selling for 1/2 of retail, you would be getting a better suit. The SG-1 fits poorly and is not what I would recommend. My buddy was thinking about it until he tried one on and saw how it stacked up with the SHIFT suits I wear and the Celtic suit he was thinking about that STG has on sale... Point is that if you want a certain budget to be met, think used first. You'll get a better suit for the same money. There are TONS of places that can fix them, clean them and customize them to fit your wants if need be...
  8. 06/07 600/750s should be short to follow...
  9. Uh, that's a really neat pic of an all white motorcycle in a blizzard... All I see is a whole lotta nuttin'...
  10. So they sell to dealers first round or something? Meaning, if I have a vendor's license, I get first crack or what? I'm really interested as I am going to start going to the one in Cincinnati. I'm interested as to how it works. I can get signed to be a dealer principle, but need to know what the levels are in terms of who gets first crack, etc...
  11. How is that auction since it is open to the public? Do things go for a fair price? Sometimes they sell at above clean trade because they aren't dealers... Any insight? I'd be interested in attending the next one...
  12. How killa? Got a buddy looking at one and they are at about $499.99 on sale right now and he'd like a better deal...

Damn, Ben... You're the bearer of REALLY old news. You feeling ok?
  14. The "Ohio Riders Winter Classic" kart competition. I can see it now...
  15. Let's do a meet at the one below Cincinnati. There's an indoor there near Cycle Specialties that is similar to what SPEEDS was but MUCH nicer. Let's DO IT!!! They have group events. If we can organize a grouping of people, we can do a bracket style deal and maybe get some of the sponsors to provide prizes and such... Unless you all are AFRAID....
  16. Dude, for $4900, it sounds really like a great deal. Problem is going to be the motor and whether of not it is really fresh and true as to what the owner is saying. You'd do yourself a huge favor to do a leak down and compression check before you brought it home and try and get all recipts for any work he did or had done... I do not have a stock basket. I do have a few sorted things like spare fork tube caps (not needed with the 25mm kit, but can be used on the other forks), maybe some clutch plates and I have a stock upper fairing stay I was going to put on Ebay. I had it as a back up in case... I MIGHT have some pads, too.... I'll check once it gets warmer and I can get to the trailer to see what I have. Say, by Saturday.
  17. They used to be called Scorpion. Something happened and there was some legal deal where they changed their name. The current Scorpion as we all know isn't the sister company to anyone. Saying sister company implies they are all the same overall company like Pointiac and Buick are sister companies of GM...
  18. Formerly known as is exactly how it should be perceived. Not as if Akro owns the name Scorpion and the cheap crap that is in shops is the same quality and made by the same company we all know as Akrapovic...
  19. Ya got me before I posted... But essentially, the subframe and slipper are big time issues and expensive replacements...
  20. Rotors, M/C, slipper clutch and I think that's it. The rotors and M/C are easy swaps obviously, but the slipper is a dead nut giveaway if anyone with at least 3 IQ points hears you on any front straight going into a turn... Oh, and for sure the subframe. The rest looks good. I'm not sure on legality of the bearings, either. I'd make double sure they are really ceramic...
  21. Just remember you will not be allowed to run any SS events with that thing... Only SB classes...
  22. No offense, but the trouble you have had on yours? No. I mean that in as light a manner as possible...
  23. Did you not read my post? If I am going to a race and it rains, I'll race. But, after 14 years, I've earned the right to choose when i ride and what conditions. I don't need practice rain riding anymore...
