What are the sag numbers? Too often, guys set it either too soft or too stiff. Experiment with rebound. Go two to three clicks in one direction at a time and see what happens. Take notes so you know where you are and what you did. Otherwise, you can get upside down quick. Watch your air pressure, as well. What tires and PSI do you run?

STT is the sole provider for motorcycle track days at Mid-Ohio. Even promoter practices. All the info above is the correct way to get signed up. Due to increase in costs for the track rentals, the membership portion is waved. Plus Mid-O wants to run it through their site... You sign up for a PERFORMANCE track event and it'll be an STT event. Guarantee...

Realize that too stiff causes rear wheel spin which will eat your tire more. Feathering is usually a rebound issue - not a spring tension issue...

What is the extent of Drew's injuries? Just banged up is all? Hope so... What happened to the bike? Is it a complete wreck or minor repairs? Guardrail and motorcycles are never a good combo. Did it have the new plastic and everything? I'll see him Thursday and will ask, but let me know if he's ok.

SOLD!!! Lock her up, please! -
Sorry so long on the response to this. Here's what we know: When the wrist pin boss lets go, the rod beats the cylinder wall to death and ruins the cases, valves, etc. You have to pull the head to get the cast in numbers on the piston. Friend has the casting numbers and said he'd give them to me. I'll let you know as soon as I get numbers...

No. Frame - $1k Forks (stock and no internals) - $200 Forks with goodies inside for track - $400-$500 Front whels with rotors - $250 Bike Cost - $900 Parts just to get a base - $2k $2900 total. You can buy a used race bike with everything you'd need for about $3500 for that year or even less... 03 GSXR600 Clean title- http://forums.13x.com/showthread.php?t=175316 Bet you could get it for $2900 or less... 03 R6 Clean title - http://forums.13x.com/showthread.php?t=174116 Bet you could get it for $3k... 04 636 Salvage - http://forums.13x.com/showthread.php?t=173323 He's down to $3400. Bet you offer $3k and you're in... 04 R6 - Salvage - http://forums.13x.com/showthread.php?t=173773 He's asking $4k. Offer $3500... Best choice in that 03-04 tears of 600s... So, once you have $2500-$2900 just as a platform for this bike, you'd need plastic, rear shock, clip-ons, rear sets, pipe, etc... Overall, better off buying a pre set-up bike as seen above. You'll be better off...

Buy it. That's a deal to sell as parts. You can get $600 for the motor, $400 for the wheels, subframe, body panels, etc. will bring additional $. You can make some money. It's pretty bad. Frame is obviously toast and the forks for that kind of buy back... That's lower than I expected!

More stuff! Refrigerator, dish washer and fridge F/S
Moto-Brian replied to Moto-Brian's topic in Other Stuff
Pics: 1) Fridge. Front shot. SMALL, small, small knick in the front at the bottom. White inside. Didn't take pic due to food and stuff. Didn't make sense... Want a pic to see, let me know and we'll pull the food inside... Again, BIG fridge. I think it is classified as a 21 cubic foot size as it is what we need to replace it with... 2) Fridge side. Shows depth. Sorry about the stuff on top and crap on the sides... 3) Dishwasher. Front shows it has all the features including sanitize and disposal features. Also has an auto clean... White didn't go with the appliances. We had white cabinets in our pantry room where we had this. Now, with a remodel, we made the kitchen bigger and put it under the main cabinets. Doesn't flow at all and so, the only reason for selling really is color... 4) Inside to show the heat element and disposal set-up. Sorry about the pasta sauce in the lower left corner!! And the dirty dishes!! 5) Stove. Again, it is what it is. Probably throw it out. It works. Light works, the top burners all work, clock, timer, bake setting, etc. The oven itself does get to temp, but for example, it took 2 hours to get to 250 degrees. So, something wrong and it all needs to go. Hell, I will give this away... Chrome rings around burners need replaced... Need more detailed pics, let me know. For the price, you pretty much are getting a deal here. The stove and the white dishwasher are really why we are getting these out... -

Make offers, guys. We order new appliances tomorrow and I am sure they will be here within a few days. The fridge is HUGE!!! Fridge is 32.5" x 29-30" Dishwasher has the Sanitize and disposal feature. You'd be paying almost $450 entry fee to get those features - great if you have children and baby bottles, etc. Also great because it doesn't let the blown off food wash around your clean plates... Stove is what it is. I know it is a simple fix. Burners work great, etc. I don't expect anyone to buy the stove, but if you buy the dishwasher and fridge, I'll still do the table and chairs for $25... Oh, and I deliver to you if in Columbus or vicinity... -
Couple of things. You don't blow valve cover gaskets per say. It's leaking... It's also under warranty and what you really need to do is two fold. 1) Try and tighten the valve cover bolts to OEM specs. If they are at OEM specs, see #2. If they are not, get them tightened correctly and wipe the oil off and ride it and see what gives. If it still leaks, see #2... 2) It's under warranty for 12 months and unlimited miles. So, don't go and do a bunch of things that could possibly have a dealership throw up a red flag. PAIR valve mods are a red flag... Just call the shop and see when you can get it in. It is a quick fix and shouldn't be more than a day. As far as issues with 07s, check the build date. If it is an early 2007, there's a piston issue, as well. Later 07s were updated...

Was replaced when I remodeled the kitchen. Trust me, it was an old school metal sink. You'd no likey... We didn't! -
They added the May 21st event at the last minute. You'd have to check with McCunes Cycle Center in Mansfield to see if they know anything. I'll ask Monte what can be done, but here is a link for some info. The July event is going to unvail the RC8, too! http://www.ktmusa.com/Detail.223.20.html?&nodeID=100407&cHash=2a81f03323 McCune's number/info is: 327 ASHLAND ROAD 44905 MANSFIELD (OH) Tel: 419-524-2222 Fax: 419-522-2287 Jerry at Cleveland/Akron should know something, as well... Get to him quick. I heard he's leaving. I haven't talked to him yet, but a buddy stated he put his two weeks in last week...

Ok, will get pics and dimensions tomorrow. Thought to throw this out as soon as I can due to us getting our kitchen finished and needing to get new appliances... All are Maytag appliances, too. 1) BIG refridgerator. Light Almond in color. Freezer top and fridge bottom. Pretty big. Was thinking $75 2) Stove (electric) with 4 top burners, warming drawer and traditional front door. Issue is that the thermostat or something is bad. Takes FOREVER to heat up. 2 hours and it only got to 250 degrees. Someone who knows what to do can get it working easily, I am sure. Light Almond color, as well. Top burners and electronics (clock, timer, etc.) all work perfect. $25 3) Dishwasher. Under counter style. All white. Has sterilize feature and works 100% perfect. $85 So, $185, you get three major appliances with a stove that probably needs a $30 part to work perfect. It literally started with having issues this morning. So, we just decided it is time to get them all replaced with the kitchen done and needing black appliances anyways... If you buy all three, I'll throw in a kitchen table and chairs for $25!!! See other thread...

Might as well go down to the local precinct and give them your license. You're gonna be a street riding hooligan on that thing!!! By the way, you ought to come up to Mid-Ohio May 21st for the KTM days... SUPER cool ride. The front tire will look new forever as you'll be on the back wheel constantly!!

Ok, college kids... Cheap table and chairs!!!
Moto-Brian replied to Moto-Brian's topic in Other Stuff
The table is 29.5" x 48". First $45 gets her... -
They sell for $13-$14k if you can wait for what you want... Motor can be found for $500-$700. No more than a grand... I have all the random stuff needed outside a few machined pieces for the conversion, I suspect. Exhaust and stuff is already around and can be cut, welded, etc. to fit... The reverse deal can be done with a starter motor type set-up as seen on a Gold Wing... Me and my buddy who does engine builds already discussed and it sounds good... I'd say for an additional $2k in parts and labor, you could convert and have it totally legit... So, $15-$16k...

"Oh, I can get turned around. The gear I use is called my right foot and the accelerator pedal. Simply turn the wheel to full right or left and mash the pedal down. Istantly faces the other way!!" :D:D:D:D
-
Why ya gotta be a joy kill? Damn reverse... I don't know... They have a reverse set-up on four wheelers. I suspect they could do a conversion... Hmmmmmm.....
-
Ok, we have a table and chairs set we need to get rid of. It's been in storage and needing a new home. I need the space for wheels!!! Anyways, green with natural wood top. $50 obo. I can even bring it to CBus in the truck to you. You wouldn't even have to drive to pick it up!!! Save the gas!!! Here's some pics: Chairs - there's 4 of these... Table: Make an offer. I need 'em gone. I have 4 sets of car wheels that need the space so, I will damn near give these away. They are in great shape. Chairs are a little wobbly from use, but could be tightened with screws or something. When I say wobbly, I mean they aren't ready to explode once you sit on them - they just are loose...
-
The idea is on the table with my wife. I'd have to sell my car and look at the facts before I go through with it. The issue is space and the fact that if I'd ever have to use it for family driving, someone has to stay home... So, we'll see. I'll keep ya posted.

They are sold by Mercedes dealerships. Germain Mercedes at Easton has them. i think they are sold out right now and taking orders...
-
Like I said, the spacer deal is no big deal. The axle size is something that needs addressed... I thought they were similar, but was wrong. The hassle you would have to convert a front wheel isn't worth it considering you can buy them easily enough for a certain year needed. Good luck. I had a buddy with an 07 that needed a set of wheels so, that's why I asked. I could have asked him, but figured they were the same... Good luck. Fair enough price.

I'd run the all black and murder it out with black wheels... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8EByRkTuoEA&feature=related
