  1. Nah, exit of 10 was a strong point on the bike. The headshake is normal MO for that thing. It was skimming the front wheel and would shake which is normal. Actually was happy on its drive out of ten...
  2. Yeah, it was good to see Nick back out there. He seemed pretty tied up with everything, but cool he got a weekend in.
  3. Yeah, 9 and 10 were tough for me that weekend. I just was struggling on grip and with Matt's big crash there on his 1199, I was having a tough go at it. Turn 2 was rough also. I had too much rear wheel spin and with the bike so amazing on the bottom end, it was spinning hard and a lot. I chose the wrong rear tire compound even though Justin and Matt both thought I should get a 7755... Live and learn. Excuses, whatever... I felt bad through the weekend, but there were moments of positives. The bike is awful hard on exit and while I was parking it in 9 and 10, the bike compensated with torque out. I was being a squid. But, we pulled at least respectable times and even though Ive been a lot faster around that place, it just wasn't meant to be. Matt is going to spend some time helping me dial it in at the next event in hopes to get me faster and thus pushing each other so we all get faster. I'm just getting older and I think somewhat losing the drive I had...
  4. Get me some examples. I know I always ask, but I am picky on the shots. I was talking to Joe about getting shots in places most never do. I hate the traditional spots where everyone usually takes them. So, let me see whatcha got. I know Joe was in the Bus Stop which should have made for some cool power out shots...
  5. He was 2 seconds faster than us. 1 second faster than Justin's fastest and David's fastest. But, 1-2 seconds is a lifetime...
  6. Yeah, saw the video. I had the same issue at Mid-Ohio during the WERA races with all the novices gridded behind. I was lucky like Matt in being to the far right. The humiliating thing was I got the holeshot and lead the first half of the race essentially holding Justin up with the parking it in the corners and my bike's torque compensating. But then Matt and Justin blew by and it was curtains...
  7. Really low turn out for the race day. We really need to figure out how to get more people in there. I think having Ducati Indy involved will attract more people as they were saying they wanted to get more in and I think they will push. Speaking of Duc Indy, Matt made us all look REALLY silly. It was awesome, though because he was showing us all what can be done on a stock 1198S. The best part was the first 1000 race. He actually had the bike stall and we were all into turn one before he took off. He caught and took the lead on lap five and checked out. 5 laps he made it through the pack and to us and passed. Dude is retarded fast and smooth as Madcat's ass.
  8. Shit. Iyt's Kyle Hunter making me look good... He tends to get that right moment in time where I look like I'm doing the business. He's awesome that way!
  9. You can call the customer service line either found in your manual or online. Have you tried to talk to the dealership first?
  10. This is a great statement. Any time there is a new law or a proposed law, those that are comfortable with what goes on now firmly believes that there will be issues with anything new or different. The fact is that there will be information given to everyone that this is a new law and that the ability to lane split will be allowed and legal for motorcycles... It isn't that hard to understand and I like the post quoted above because that is exactly what I think a lot of guys are thinking...
  11. This kind of lines up with the Lemon Law thread where I have stated time and time again that OEMs really do care about the customers and try and get things fixed as quickly as possible. Triumph, Ducati, KTM, and other Euro brands are very top notch when it comes to CS. The Japanese are as well and while they all may take a bit of leaning by the dealership, it usually ends well. We had a deal where a customer had a Monster that had some issues and it was going to take 3 weeks before the part would arrive (They were non typical fail parts and low order rate parts so, not common and fall under the 2% we are unable to fill typically). He was given a loaner bike for the period of time and we got him a credit to spend on anything he wished within that budget. He got a helmet and jacket, I believe... The point is that OEMs try really hard. Triumph is a great brand and has an equally great CS department. Good on them and good on you for the post. These typically do not come up and are well received.
  12. Dude, you're wasting your breath... I agree 100% and you bring up even more examples of things that can occur. But, Nissan trying to get the unit fixed in your example os apparently them draggin feet.
  13. Trust me, I get it. You can be a wise ass and say "OEMs think OEMs do a good job" or you can be intelligent and read carefully what I've stated. The OEMs do NOT want to drag it on no matter what a disgruntle customer thinks. Again, you had a set experience and even though apparently you cannot share any details, we have no idea how bad it was. So, it is what it is. But I can tell you that OEMs do a solid job in terms of customer service. Again, broken record - some better, some worse. Get over it, bro. You had a bad experience. I am sure like the KX450 example I gave is an example of a pretty thrilled customer... Anyways, let's agree to disagree. My head is bleeding from banging against the wall... I need a drink.
  14. Dude, I said before and maybe I need a chalk board with stick figures. Dunno. I said you may have had a situation where it was a deal where the OEM drags it's feet. You got the lawyer involved and what did I say? That causes a halt. You didn't supply what the issue was, what the dealer did to try and help nor what number of times you communicated with the OEM. Yes, shit happens. Yes, some companies are better than others. Some worse. The 30 day deal isn't as you stated where it is in and the scenario I described would never go LL. if the services manager suggested LL, they were having issues. Nuff said. I get it. But, most the time in the manufacturers I've worked with and worked for have all made strides to help the customer get on the road as quickly as possible. But, you had a bad experience so, it makes you an expert in saying OEMs try and fuck people. Or that OEMs just always drag their feet. You're dead wrong. Again, a great company cannot satisfy every customer. That's just the way business goes. Also, remember on the 30 day deal. There is usually an opportunity to rectify. Of that has not been given to the OEM, doubt it will be accepted into LL. your deal was apparently different as it sounds like they tried several times. Oh yeah, I am a dick. Not just kinda.
  15. Where did grandpa go? Probably got stuck at the Walmart greeting someone and remembering his good ol days with his KZ!! It's been entertaining reading his funny posts.
  16. Paul does awesome work as well. I just am promoting a local guy to me that also races and does several team bikes. Basically, you can't go wrong with either. I like Andrew's stuff, but it is a racebike. If it is going to be crashed at some point, why pay $800 when you can get a good looking job for half that? No offense as it is worth every penny - I've seen Twisted's stuff and it is glorious. But we racers are cheap asses. $400 is a set of tires!!
  17. What I am getting at on the 30 day deal is that there is typically an allowance for repair with the 30 days. Again, there is a lot of issue with the dealership at times and this one time allowance affords the OEM to step in and control it. When it is for multiple issues, there typically is more of a case. Reason being is that the OEM gets involved a lot sooner. Or the customer is addressing Customer Service with the OEM and the issue becomes urgent. OEMs DO NOT want buy backs. They are something that is avoided at all costs and they try and remedy the situation as easily and QUICKLY as possible. I guess that is viewed as draggin feet to some...
  18. Again, you are generalizing, man. Stop giving out bullshit answers. There are issues that can arise to keep a bike in service for 30 days. If a dealership drags their feet and does not issue warranty request to the OEM, how the fuck is the OEM responsible? You got so many light facts that it is driving me crazy. Do us all a favor and get exacts before you spew falsehoods, please... Sceario: Dealer takes in your bike that has a radiator issue. They note that it SHOULD be covered under warranty as in the end, the OEM will make the final decision. Three weeks go by and you call and follow up, but the reality is that the dealership is busy and the Service Manager forgot to order the part and submit the warranty request. 3 weeks. Hell, make it two weeks. Whatever. Warranty request is issued and is approved by Service Area Manager. Parts are then ordered. Part is ordered late because again, busy. So, dealership keeps blaming the OEM because that is a typical and easy way to do it. Four weeks and the radiator finally arrives, but is damaged. The part needs re-ordered and the damaged part needs to be RMA'd because it was issued to your VIN. Again, more time. You hit your magical 30 days and decide to be a dick and not work on anything with the dealer or OEM and call an attorney. Shit stops. Everything stops. The OEM will hold on the bike as their legal team will address the situation. They may reach out and give you details like the part was readily available and the dealership took a long time to address the warranty to them and did not order the part until set time. Once it was ordered, it did in fact arrive damaged, but the RMA was issued later and part re-ordered later. You will not get LL on that thing. You will get the parts and labor probably covered if warranty related. You may even get some swag for the bullshit you have endured. That's different and based on the situation. The dealership did not do what they were supposed to do. Now maybe you can claim LL and have your attorney go after the OEM and dealership. But if it is shown that the dealership ordered it late, submitted the warranty request several days to weeks after you came in, etc. There is no issue on the OEM side. SAMs visit monthly usually and would catch this inside 30 days or at the end, etc. Then it would be addressed. But, the issue is whether or not the bike is in service a long period of time with no swift resolution. If that swiftness is a result of drug feet in the dealership, it is not a manufacturer issue... Again, staying on top of your bike, checking resources like calling another dealer to see if you can order a radiator and finding out it is available and then going to the dealership and calling bullshit, etc are going to be things you need to do. You can also use the OEM as a way to get shit done sooner. Calling and complaining will net a check. Once they check and find out the dealership didn't do what they should have, you will get the ball rolling faster. Too often, what happens is the customer flies off the handle, bitches and blows up on the OEM and acts like an ass. Acting professional gets better results. Now, if it is legit and warranted to blow up, you should do that. But calm and educated tends to net better and more positive results... But what do I know?
  19. You are correct. There are several state differences as to how viewed. But typically, there is a string of issues that is involved. Yes, the 30 days in for the same thing can be shown, but there needs to be proof that the dealership has tried honestly to rectify and correct. If the OEM doesn't get it handled, it can be a LL issue if addressed. I just was giving a quick example of the typical idea. Multiple problems in a short period of time can constitute LL focus. But you are correct, it isn't just that. It can be more or even less...
  20. You don't know who I work for, do you or my background. Trust your attorney. They are always looking out for your best interest vs. their wallet, right? The idea of Good Will is showing that manufacturers DO NOT drag their feet. If a LL issue arises, they attend immediately and I am arguing that you are stating YOUR OPINION that they don't. When an attorney gets involved, it can cause delays. Once that happens, there becomes a legal issue and yes, things get delayed but not because of dragging feet. When a lawsuit is threatened, you slow the process down because now both legal councils are involved and creates red tape. You chose an attorney for whatever reasons. In doing so, it slows it down. I am saying that if you build a relationship, work with the company and dealer, more often than not, they will Good Will something rather than let it get to where you took it. And yes, I can give thousands of examples...
  21. I am saying that it is your opinion that manufacturers try to delay and drag their feet... Yes, there are examples of everything negative out there. But, when you comment and make it sound like it is the norm, you are stretching the truth. I didn't call you a liar because maybe it was the case in your situation. But, understand that your lawyer wants paid and can be pressuring the manufacturer to where it makes more sense to give you a settlement than to drag it out in court. Also, maybe your case was a LL issue and maybe the OEM did drag their feet. You gave jack shit in detail - but you were quick to say stuff that I can provide several examples (More than I wish to type) where the OEM did Good Will, did it quickly ONCE THEY WERE INFORMED BY THE DEALER, and got the customer on the road quickly and to their approval. So, we can go back and forth and do this little dance or you can maybe be less general in how the process is done and give solid facts. And don't use car companies as I don't know shit about car companies. We are talking motorcycle manufacturers and that I know. Again, before you go Googling and finding every case that sides with your comments, also understand that people post and bitch about when shit goes wrong. VERY few post when shit goes well and great. In this thread as an example, everyone has a bad story. There isn't one guy other than my example of a company doing something well. Guess what? That doesn't mean it doesn't happen and doesn't happen a LOT. That simply means that people post the negatives more than the positives... When you say others... How many are others? I can give you thousands and thousands of examples of contradicting stories. I can also provide a bunch of Good Will stories that were Good Will results for customers that in no way, shape or form deserved it and were classic examples of customer neglect and not a defect or warranty issue, but the company did the Good Will anyways to get it completed... ready? Completed QUICKLY and without drama... Just let me know when you want examples...
  22. Shit. Don't be a pussy. I'm gonna roll huge when this is passed and do 80mph endos on the dotted line while looking over at each driver I pass with my left hand giving them the "whazzup, peace out" sign... Bitches, yo!
  23. No need for a dick swinging contest here, man. We get that you have ridden a ton. Just remember when bragging about how much experience you have and then throwing down on a veteran member that in all the years and miles of experience you have, was it done well and was it done correctly? Meaning, I know many a person with loads more "miles" and have ridden several "brands of motorcycles" when compared to the average person and through all those miles and bikes, they were doing a ton of shit wrong. Bad experience is still experience, but not always the something you should brag about. Before you go and tally off all the accomplishments you've done and the book thing again, understand that opinions are based on things that maybe we've experienced and while maybe not the best things to say, Todd may have seen some things that most of us have not. Remember, he's got miles and he's also a medical based professional that has seen some serious injuries. While I agree with you as you can probably asses, I would say that your approach was pretty arrogant and I kinda hope Todd reams a hole in your hind parts. So, I'll let him go for that.
