They changed quite a few things around in that but made it a better movie than book, I really think if they change much from the book in this case, it'll detract from the movie. They're trying to get what many consider his best book, Blood Meridan, made into a movie too. That one's going to be a lot harder to stay true to the book IMO. Anyway, there are going to be some scenes in The Road that will shock quite a few people if they're not familiar with it already.

We made enough of a profit, but the insurance pulled money out of it to put it under the % where the company starts giving out profit sharing. The unions 3rd party people are going to go through the paperwork and hopefully they catch them trying to screw us again. Last year we got a $600 check, but the 3rd party went over the books and found that the company had funneled off most of our profits to other plants to make them look better. We ended up getting another $800 check.

No profit sharing for us this year, we had a couple of people that had wrecks so the insurance went up.

Just a heads up, the guy that lives in the house behind the closest tree in the pic is uhh.....special. He's been on the USS Reagan launching cruise missiles in Nam, farms all night, helped a calf being born by reaching in and pulling it out by the horns, is on the fire dept(not), and saved us all from a nuclear waste meltdown. You should feel lucky to have such a distinguished neighbor.

Used to jog before I got a metric fuckton of titanium installed in the leg and pelvis, I tried once a few months ago and it wasn't pretty. Looks like the elliptical machine's gonna be my cardio for the foreseeable future.
