Still have the 19p prop on there? 60 is a really good speed from a stock 350. Have you taken out the GPS yet to verify? Not saying it isn't running that, but still nice to know. I took the GPS with me Friday to check the cuddy I got it to 39 GPS and speedo said 41...so pretty damn close. Not too bad for a 4 banger. Sweet ass boat for sure. You guys have a day set for this coming week?

I don't have to work tomorrow and want to see what the Larson runs on GPS. Plus, I never really get to go out and go alone. I usually have other family members to entertain. Yeah, the Formula seems like a never ending story. I should have bought a crate engine and just dropped it in. I thought I had picked the cheaper route going the way I did and piecing it all together. Wrong. Oh well, if it ever gets done it will be a solid performer. The 2 new aluminum heads are at the machine shop now getting worked over. I will sell the 2 old ProComp heads probably for scrap. I am putting an interior in the new cuddy. I have to put in a new floor, carpet, and re-wrap/re-create the two rear seats.

I had planned on late morning or early afternoon. I don't plan on being out long either. Just some running around then bring it back here to start putting in a new interior.

Damn, bonus points to the girl for doing the right thing.

Looks good! The way that pic is, it makes it seem bigger than a 22'. I won't be out this saturday (baby boy is turning 1), but I will be out next Wednesday.

That's actually my boats twin from up north. Funny thing though, both my and his boat were both red and grey before being painted the black and silver. His was painted before mine, but I didn't see it until after mine was painted. So technically, I didn't steal his idea. lol

Just a general FYI....they say 300-350 hp is ROUGHLY the limit for a alpha one...especially one ran hard.

The absolute BEST advice I can give is get a bravo. With your plans you WILL pop and Alpha 1 drive. I will too on my Formula, but since I didn't listen and get a boat with one already, I will have to redo my whole transom and swap all the stuff. I will have 3-5K in that swap easy. If it is a OMC setup, keep on walking. I have heard a turbo set up does not function AS WELL as a blower set up on boats. I do not have data to support, just from ALOT of my readings. Just look into it further before building an engine for turbo. I like my carb setup over EFI simply because I know it and how to work on it. Carb is great for $$$ and simplicity, but you can't beat the reliability of EFI. Me personally, if the boat you are looking at is an alpha one drive, I would do heads, cam, intake, carb, and exhaust...then start the plans to build a blower motor and bravo swap (if you are set on this boat, if not find a BRAVO). The way my stroker is headed, I can have fun for now and HOPEFULLY baby my alpha one through the rest of the season, then start gathering up the Bravo swap stuff. After the bravo is swapped, I will be putting a blower on it (probably a procharger). I dropped down the compression just enough to be able to do this. What size is this boat?

Posted actual pics up top. I am going to strip off all the old vinyl striping and give it a good buffing. It should look near new at that point. The white gel coat is in great condition. The blue has some oxidation, but should come out ok. I also am going to put new carpet in the boat. The carpet in it is in good shape, just 3 different shades. I will also redo the trailer with new bunks paint and lighting.

Hell no. The Formula is not going anywhere. It will be out there eventually. It did make me sad today though hearing the roars and rumbles of the other V8's then hearing the put put put of my 4 cylinder chugging along behind me. Really made me miss my Formula. It turned ALOT of heads last year and brought tons of attention. It's even more beastly sounding this time around. I can't wait to have it again. In the mean time, like you said, at least I can enjoy the slow boat and be on the water. FIX THE DAMN SKI!!! I will be out Wednesday evening and all day Friday.
