  1. That Exporer at the end got LUCKY. They saw it and moved just in time.
  2. LOL - Have fun. If you do break down, it might be a while before someone is there to tow you in - so take a paddle. LOL. Take pics too!
  3. Yikes, not good for our April 1st trip.
  4. Absolutely awesome. Great work. This will be happening to my 528.
  5. Oops.. :lurk: http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w211/Matt86K5/DSCN1262.jpg J/K...it wasn't really me. The wife had the black 5 last night. I have her X5...maybe she was out racing?
  6. Well, the Formula has 2 on a switch, and the VIP has one. I think the sticker is pretty cheap. At least its good for 3 years.
  7. Next up is my VIP Vision. This is a cheap little project. Picked it up for next to nothing. A guy wanted to restore it and had no clue what he was doing. He got in so deep he had no idea how to climb back out and put it back together. I started on the tune up tonight. - I got the top deck or top half lifted back off - Lined it up correctly then riveted in place - I got the rub rail on, still need to buy the insert for it though I still need to do the interior(easy - just needs put in), paint the trailer, re-light the trailer, and give it a tune up. Then sell it! http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w211/Matt86K5/VIP%20Boat/Phase%202/P3170042.jpg http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w211/Matt86K5/VIP%20Boat/Phase%202/P3170043.jpg http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w211/Matt86K5/VIP%20Boat/Phase%202/P3170045.jpg http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w211/Matt86K5/VIP%20Boat/Phase%202/P3170048.jpg http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w211/Matt86K5/VIP%20Boat/Phase%202/P3170046.jpg
  8. Here's a few pics of my Formula. Shes been completely restored and refitted. Crap engine is out and gone - 383 Stroker is being finished up at the machine shop now. Should be in range of 475-500 horses. But she is a big heavy boat with a hull designed for comfortable speed. So I'm not sure what she will run. Factory with a 260hp 350ci she ran 51-54. I still need to finish the gauges, paint the bilge, finish painting the trailer (once the boat is off), and of course install the engine. Anyone interested in a thread showing the restoration? http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w211/Matt86K5/Formula%20Boat/DSCN1918-1.jpg http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w211/Matt86K5/Formula%20Boat/DSCN1565-1.jpg http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w211/Matt86K5/Formula%20Boat/P3130043.jpg
  9. Did Shanton have a sticker on there? If there is one, just get it transferred and registered in your name up at the watercraft office (not sure if BMV can transfer too or not). If you want, you can come up and borrow one of my batteries. I have 3 here right now! lol
  10. Looks awesome Paul. Let me know. My shits not ready yet, but I will come watch or bring a row boat. lol This would be great to put in the watercraft section! A few months? HA! Real boaters go anywhere from April - November. More like how much damn money boating costs. Especially building a modded boat up.
  11. Hell yeah, turn on the sprinkler and aim it at the boat. Just pretend you are crashing waves when it hits you. I have had to do this the last 2 summers. It's the only thing that has kept me from lighting it on fire.
  12. I forgot all about that. When are you getting your toys out?
  13. Hey now, I dont think it will sink....
  14. hmmm I will have to check the one by me. You can never have enough straps...
  15. This. When I opened it I was like WTF. :gtfo:
  16. Man, If it were a Mercruiser or even a Volvo hangin of the rear, I wouldn't mind it. But, being that it is a OMC....I don't suggest it. I have heard these things can last forever, but when something does fail...OMC is out of business. The parts you can find for them are ALOT more expensive then if you were to just spend the same money and get something with a Merc. Plus, I know nothing else about this thing. Really, I'm not even sure if it floats. I mean, I'm sure it does, but you get the point. I would feel shitty if anyone I knew bought it and it broke soon after. I will say though, this thing is made a hell of alot better than I thought they were. Super strong construction for being sooo little. I can't wait to take it out. :bangbang:
  17. I sent one, about lettering for the VIP. I didn't get anything back though. I still havent had a chance to decide on sizing for the Formula. Let me know next time you are up my way. Ill have you come by and give me some professional insight.
  18. I got alot of work done to the VIP project. - I got the top deck or top half lifted back off - Lined it up correctly (previous owner had no clue)then reattached in place - I got the rub rail on, still need to buy the insert for it though I still need to do the interior(easy - just needs put in), paint the trailer, re-light the trailer, and give it a tune up. Then sell it! http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w211/Matt86K5/VIP%20Boat/Phase%202/P3170042.jpg http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w211/Matt86K5/VIP%20Boat/Phase%202/P3170043.jpg http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w211/Matt86K5/VIP%20Boat/Phase%202/P3170045.jpg http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w211/Matt86K5/VIP%20Boat/Phase%202/P3170048.jpg http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w211/Matt86K5/VIP%20Boat/Phase%202/P3170046.jpg
  19. +1. Sorry Jason, that sucks. If you either don't get the Maxum out or you sell it, you are more than welcome to come out with me on boat nights.
  20. As long as the jump pack works well, I will take it. How old is it?
  21. Nope, not me. She is still sitting out in front of the house. I still need to do my bearings. When I was out there last week, the lake was still frozen and LOW. How's the water look this week? Maybe they are waiting until we come up with a name for the boat section to make it? Since you bought it, you should start another thread with name ideas.
