  1. Latest update........

    Quote:

We're aiming for around 3 or 4:00. Depending on when my kids' basketball games are over that morning' date=' it's about a 2 hour drive for us not including traffic & weather, both of which have been issues in past trips there.

We usually stroll around the show for 3 hours or so, then start lookin' for someplace to eat & BS (see details below from Vulc). Show's open 'til 9:00 on Saturday, so there's plenty of time

We roll pretty laid back......No hard itineraries/stress.....Just general timeframes to help coordinate everyone

So here's the deal i continued looking for bars that are doing karaoke that night and the only one i found is the one i spoke of in a previous post. The name of the bar is Buddy's and its in Brunswick which is around 15 miles south of the IX center. It would be fairly convenient for everyone to get home from there because 71 is only 10 minutes away and the turnpike is 15 minutes away. Buddy's has a decent menu including 2 dollar steaks on Saturdays and they have good prices on their alcohol. Karaoke starts at 9 and goes all night.

Soooooo........Who's plannin' on prospecting for DTC membership besides Jagr??? 04.gif

hmmm wasnt planning on prospecting for DTC but i have been added to the list. I think this is a conspiracy, i believe someone has a lonely sheep that needs lovin :sheepfucker: and you already have other things in mind for jagr.

  2. I think he'd said earlier that they were actually pretty good

Sooo......If this place is a bar, you think they'd accept a reservation from us?

I have had the steaks and they are good its not those 2 dollar steaks where you hear a wrestling match in the kitchen followed by loud meow's and hisses just before your meal is served.

Once we have something close to a final count i will talk to the bar and see if they can set aside some tables for us, i am sure they will especially if i tell them we have a group of 20+ that is going to eat food then buy booze from them. They stand to make a lot of money off of us so i am sure they will work mith me.

If anyone has any other suggestions I am open to ideas if not than i suppose we can plan on going there.

  4. The 8 or 9 o'clock part doesn't necessarily bother me. That'd give us plenty of time to get there, order, eat, etc, before the "entertainment" began ;)

25 minutes which direction though? I don't feel like heading any farther out of our way, then having to come back that same distance also, with an already 2 hour drive back. Sam's already givin' me the "We're not stayin' there all night" & "I'll leave your ass" speech lol.gif

25 minutes south, 71 is only 10 minutes from the bar.
