A coworker rented one for the weekend and let me take it out before he returned it. Looked sexy, but I was underwhelmed with just about everything when you consider what one costs. "That's good, but not great" Granted -- it was only a 5 mile test ride, but that was enough to know my money was better spent elsewhere. Pretty much for the exact reason that Uncle Punk posted. It also made me realize how dangerous I felt the handling was compared to a sportbike. "Evasive maneuvering", it does not do. That's not to say I wouldn't rent one for a long weekend, but doubt I'd own one until I just have money to burn (or can't ride a sportbike anymore)

What do you WANT to know? You need to be more specific. The only issues I'm aware of are the front spark plug may not like it when you ride in the rain as the water is flicked RIGHT on it (better to seal it with grease or get an extended front fender), and there's a mysterious "green connector" issue that could leave you stranded if the wire harness gets frayed (never happened to me, and MAY only affect the 1000s) - you'll have to read more about that on svrider.com
