  1. I have been seeing trojans and hijacks that change your web browser proxy settings to run through localhost in order to capture packets. Check your proxy settings in:

    Firefox -> http://www.wikihow.com/Enter-Proxy-Settings-in-Firefox.

    In IE -> http://support.microsoft.com/kb/135982

    Most people don't use a proxy, so typically there should be no IP address entered in that field.

    Everytime I do a search on Google, I click on the link and get another search engine or an advertisement that has nothing to do with what I was looking for - it doesn't go to the site...

    Now, if I go to ASK.com and do the same thing, it is fine.

    Also, on the Google search, you will have a sub category or an indented link from the same site. I can click those and it goes to them...

    I use Ad-Aware and it isn't catching it. Any thoughts? Pain in the ass...

  2. Its Powell, those yuppie fucks are more important than you.

    How wide is that brush with which you are painting? I live in Powell and know that there are some jacktards there, but I wouldn't say there are any more there than any place else I have lived.

  3. It was apparently an accident from what I have read from several sources; also mentioned in the rivals article linked above. The kids were fooling around and James lost his balance. I can't imagine watching one's best friend losing his life. Horrible...

    Update:

    Apparently James was drinking and went to the balcony to argue with people in the next room; he hung over the balcony and fell. There were supposedly chaperones there, but 40 underage kids drinking in a room sounds like something bad will happen.

  4. I'd like to see a guy that's been jumped by 5 dudes try to pull a gun though...

    In this situation he was knocked off his bike and slid about 30 feet. He was able to get up and as he got up the attackers chased him; he did have time to draw, but wasn't carrying because his place of employment didn't allow it.

  5. I think guns have a place in our society and are a good thing to have around. I support CHL and gun education over bannings. I know that concealed weapons do protect people and stop criminals. I also believe that unless someone is trained to handle a gunfight, having that weapon on their person is of little effect.

    Many people on this forum own guns and shoot them often. But how many of them train in a high-intensity high-stress environment? Most people never experience or practice shooting a gun while on an adrenaline rush or in a hurry. Punching holes in paper is a lot easier when you're standing at a gun range with no pressure.

    Gunfights are only one type of threat. What about other types of disparity of force? I have a buddy who was knocked off his bike by 5 men and was beaten, I think a firearm would have helped him in his situation. What about the woman who is being followed by a man in a parking garage? A man with a knife will respect a firearm pointed in his direction.

    Will carrying a firearm guarantee a positive outcome for every threat, no, but it does level the field.

    With regard to training to deal with the physiological aspects of a defensive situation, you are correct, not many CHL holders have that experience. Although, I have read many accounts where people with little firearm experience have neutralized a threat who is carrying a firearm, many accounts are elderly men and women; the fact is most "bad guys" probably have less experience than most CHL holders. I know that is a general sweeping statement, but that is why the Internet was created, right? =)

  6. If you do, I am looking to learn. Been considering getting a tig for our shop and myself. I have tig welded before, but nothing extensive. I would still consider myself to know little to nothing. Willing to pay for materials to practice with and your help learning. I would rather get some training from a pro that just play around and waste a bunch of consumables trying to learn. Mainly concerned with stainless and aluminum. Cast aluminum as well. I am free all day on Mondays and Sundays or any night after 7. Shoot me a text or an email to JustinA@800390bike.com. Once again looking to learn, not to hire a welder.

    Do you need to weld a front bumper on a cargo van or something? =)

  7. I've been wearing bicycle shorts under my regular pants on long rides for the last couple of years and they have worked great. The padding helps and it also wicks the sweat away from your body plus they make it much easier to slide around on the seat.

    I stand corrected. I tried it on a couple of long rides and it was horrible, but that could be due to other sartorial factors. =)

  8. Bicycle shorts aren't going to give you much more padding. They will also be much hotter, thus producing more sweat in the region. I would try to get a better (more comfy) seat for your bike. Alternatively, you could let the Coshocton boys work you over real well; you would wouldn't need a seat after that. Apparently, that involves purchasing a sheep suit and bleating in a barn or pasture.

  9. OMG! They are a bunch of asses! I went there and the guy (owner) was a royal ass! His prices were crazy too! I would never ever ever ever recommend CRS carpeting in Kirkersville! Sorry...I just don't like people that rub me the wrong way! haha The funny thing is that I work a block away from his business and I know a lot of people! You would think that ...hmmmm...she is a teacher...she has connections ..I might want to treat her nice so that she can make some connections for me. Nope!

    Ok...someone on here has to lay carpet and want to make some quick cash!

    Strange, they weren't the most professional, but the prices they quoted me were far below anything I have seen in years. The did a decent job too. I guess I may have gotten lucky...

  10. Is your kid's face frozen?? The child looks less than satisfied with the outside conditions.

    How's this for a late response. We just had finished playing outside and his nose was running like a faucet, so he kept sniffling for the picture. It is actually better than most I get of him, because when I ask him to smile he usually sticks his tongue out like Gene Simmons.
