Well, I don't really hit the freeways too much and when I am out in the curves, I am not bothered by the police. A few days ago I was close to running over a live rabbit and a groundhog that was jaywalking. Animals present more danger than LEO's, out in the twisties. I was stopped on my way home, after taking a new road that had some turns. Not too technical but fun. I just wish I saw more bikes of my kind rather than Harley's.

Actually, a kick to the knees administered correctly will change your whole life instead of just making you sing a little higher when the balls get bruised. This is why I will never get married. If she loves me enough, she will respect my wishes. When women are obsessed with a ring, I am obsessed with hiring an escort. Buy American...

Does anyone mind if a sleek, black '06 1000RR tags along? If nobody does, count me in. I need to get out more.

Hell, just be on the lookout for an older Suzuki Intruder 1400, if you want to get a decent cruiser with nice torque as well. Personally, I think they are really sharp and I had one myself before I sold it. For a bike to cruise around on, you can't go wrong with one of those. I won't even get on a cruiser anymore unless it's 1400cc's or more. I have a small penis...

So I went to court today, to see if I could take care of that pesky little ticket that said I was going 21 over the speed limit. The judge seemed like a decent fellow and after he read the charges against me, I pleaded "Not Guilty" and then explained that where I was stopped, it was a 65mph zone. Then he said that it will be corrected when I have my trial so I ended up pleading "No Contest" for going 75 in a 65 zone after he told me that he will reduce the speed by 1, making it 0 points, as opposed to 2 points on my license if I was convicted later on down the line. So I had to pay a fine and court costs, which was $97 as opposed to letting this thing drag out and making me go back out to Lisbon, which is a nice ride on a motorcycle but a bit of a bore in my car. All in all it was no big deal.

I can do it, for sure. Yet it will rain, I imagine, since we want to do something fun...

Well, there is a posted speed limit sign of 65mph, before the area that I got pulled over in, so unless there is an invisible sign, or my bike weighs more than 4 tons, I have a chance of having it dropped. If I plead "no contest" then I am agreeing that the posted speed limit is 55mph rather than the actual speed limit, and putting me 21-over, something that will not look good on my record.

I'm in but the weekend of the 19th I will be in LA. After that, I am game.

I was nailed on a State Rt, on the 4th. That's what I get for being greedy about discovering new twisties. I was doing 21 over according to the ticket, but the dumb LEO didn't realize that the actual speed limit was 65mph. I'm fighting it.

No contest means you agree to the facts of the charges but it's not an admission of outright guilt. There is a major error on the ticket, which questions the credibility of the trooper, who has more or less been patrolling that area for who knows how long, and should know that the speed limit is higher than what he put on the ticket. I cannot be guilty of the charge on the ticket unless he put down 65mph, which was the correct speed limit. Still, 11 over the limit is 2 points on my license. If I plead no contest, I am agreeing that the speed limit is 55mph, which it isn't, and also I would be saying that yes, I was doing 21 over. Which I wasn't.

Well, after I got my ticket, I got off at the Rt.30 exit and when I went back the next day, I used the same on-ramp and sure enough, the posted speed limit was 65. In fact, the majority of rural highways are at that same speed. Plus, I rode all the way to 170, where I got on a few minutes before my ticket. Before the area I was pulled over at, it was posted at 65mph, with vehicles exceeding 4 tons, 55mph. His truck was a Tahoe, I'm sure but I have no knowledge of trucks, despite having a job that relies on the rapidly dying light truck industry.

So on the 4th I got pulled over by one of our fine state troopers. He was traveling southbound in one of those Ford Rangers and I was northbound, but I didn't think much of it when he passed by, but he appeared in my mirrors after about a minute. I guess he felt it was important enough to cross the median and pursue me. I knew he was going to pull me over when he appeared right behind me and sure enough, the lights came on and I stopped. Now I could have been three miles down the road if I gunned it when he passed me in the other lane but I didn't think he would actually do it. The posted speed limit is 65mph on that stretch of road but he said I was doing 21 over since he got me at 76mph but here's the kicker. He wrote 55mph on the ticket. Meaning for some reason he assumed it was 55mph in a 65mph zone. It's as clear as day on the ticket. Today I went for a ride to the exact location to be sure and sure enough, it's a 65mph zone, as are most of Ohio's rural highways. I talked with my sister, who is a cop and she says it's all up to the judge really. Still, even if he finds me guilty of speeding, it would be 11 over, which is two points on my license. Now I have no points on my license right now but I don't need my premiums going up so I am contacting legal help. It's worth fighting for, anyways.

I'm about 20min. from that location so I am up for it. It's pretty close to my old town house.

Hey, I'm up for the 12th and the 13th. Weather permitting...

I am available the next four days to ride, and I will be riding with or without anyone else, unless it rains again. I want an M109R in the worst way since I do enjoy cruisers as well as sportbikes. I live down in Massillon, which is about 25min. south of Akron, so it's no big deal to head up there. Where will we be riding? There are some nice roads around these parts in anyone wants to come down. Rt.164 is pretty good as well as Rt.9, which is short and sweet. Then there is Atwood as well. I'm up for anything, as long as I am on my beloved CBR.

I'm always up for a ride. This weekend I will be up in Toledo but anytime after that is always good. Only working 4 days a week helps as well. Got to love the energy crisis.

I remember taking Rt.60 all the way to Marietta on an '05 600RR , which was the longest ride I have ever been on. What I remember is the tar snakes that plagued much of the road, making me weary about taking corners too fast. With my 1000RR, a better street-bike, long rides don't affect me as much since it's alot more comfortable. This weekend it's going to rain but Sunday it might clear up.

Cops have to use golf carts to save on gas, so I think you can outrun those, permit or not...

I'm a bit new to the boards but count me in. I hit Rt.30 and Rt.9 quite a bit since I live fairly close to that area. Sounds like a pretty good time and twisties are always fun. I have a friend in Toledo but he doesn't ride at all.

I'm always up for a little adventure. Damn this heat though. I almost want to ditch the full leathers. Almost...

I myself stick to the streets since there doesn't appear to be a track in my back yard or a leather racing suit in my closet. Hey, if you have the time and the money, good for you. If not, there are twists and turns to be found out there. My 1000RR isn't that much of a difference from the '05 600RR I had, when it comes to handling at least. It's heavier but it's easy to throw around and when you're moving, it's cake. The more I ride it, the lighter it gets. I'd love to head down to Columbus to ride for the day. I'm not afraid to push the bike a little in the twisties since I won't be doing a track day for awhile. I never see another sportbike when I am out. What the Hell? They usually just pose on the main drag, here in town, winding out those exhausts that you can hear for miles. You really need to be alert when you are on the streets. At least on the track, you know what's ahead of you. Still, I'd like to try a track day sometime.

I don't really like the look of the V-Max but I would say that for a cruiser, it would go like Hell in a straight line, I imagine. When I get another cruiser, it will either be a Yamaha Star Raider or a Suzuki M09R, both very nice cruisers. Once I get tired of the 1000RR that is...

Don't go and see this movie unless you have Forrest Gump's IQ, then you might be amused. Otherwise, watch the first one and realize that it will never be topped, ever. I just got back from watching this film, very disappointed but educated on how not to make a movie. View at your own risk...

The nearest course around here is all booked up unless you get lucky with the lottery, if someone doesn't show that is. I really would like to finally get my license but they only test during the week, when I work and I have a modded 1000RR that might fail inspection, with the flush mounts and all. So I just keep getting my temps. Hey, I have about 20,000 street miles under my belt, with cruisers and sportbikes. Those guys should just give me my endorsement. Well, I try and stick to my temp restrictions, more or less but I can't stay off the expressway sometimes.
