That rocks!

Yeah, I definitely want to be able to check out someone's work before I sign or hand over a deposit. That would just be foolish to do that. And I definitely don't want to use someone that does it on the side. I am looking for a real company that is established.
Sam, I'm not sure how this works, but if I'm able to tell a company that I would like to provide my own person for the foundation work, I will contact you. I don't know if companies are set on using their people or what.

I'm looking for someone reputable to do some remodel work on my house. There is a section of wall on the back of my house by my kitchen that I want knocked out and converted to a bay window sitting area.
A guy came out about 3 weeks ago to give me a quote. He said he would e-mail me in a couple days. Still no e-mail and I've called him a couple times. So, I've decided not to do business with this chump.
Recommend me someone that will follow up with a potential customer and will do good work.

I had someone dump a half gallon of tuna on my air vents of the Z while at college, in May, right before a long drive down to the Smokey Mountains the next morning.
Why would you have someone do that?

Clogged cats?

You could drive in reverse for the next 100K and it will be brand new!

Damn I misjudged the response to this thread by a mile. I figured someone else would say this, but here goes.
You are a fucking moron, you put valuable shit in your car that you tint and you park on the street in the campus area? Not only that I bet you play it at least some what loud so that it can be heard. So you most likely "mark" yourself. Then next you are going to tell me you don't even put a fucking $100 alarm on the car to give some kind of deterent? Then after all of that you replace it and still do nothing like buy a cheap alarm? Now you want sympathy and you are getting here from people? WTF, you spend all that money and can't buy a fucking alarm? Yep Like I said you sir are a fucking moron. I think it is crazy to think that only the same people would come back and steal again, "Lightning could not strike twice" As the officer said in this thread you have tinted windows, it's marked.....
Holy shit I can't explain the amount of fail in this thread.
I thought it, but decided not to say it. He'll learn...eventually.

Lol what do you mean by that
I think we need pics of said duct tape on windows. This has to be worth seeing!!

I just type in your zip and it says 53 degrees.

Whenever you're feeling down, watch Jerry Springer. You'll feel so much better about yourself and your life.

Congrats! I did the same thing winter 07/spring 08. I pulled the trans myself and shipped it to texas for the rebuild. i reinstalled the new clutch and rebuilt trans myself without a trans jack or lift. It was my first time for such a project. I printed out directions from LS1Tech, which helped a lot. It does feel great when you are able to accomplish something like that on your own.

It's good, but not as good as Fuddruckers (none in the state of Ohio).
What? Did that one in Hilliard close?
-
Uhh thats borderline ghey! lol jk
LMAO!! Just borderline?

I miss my Red 96 Firebird Formula. It had 20% tint on the rear and side windows. That car was so sexy. Only reason I got rid of it was because the rear control arms squeaked real bad when going over bumps. It was so annoying. Like someone else said, if I had only known then what I know now.
-
Really? What part? I haven't tried this place yet, first I've heard of it. If they can hang close with a Turman Burger and Penn Station fries, it could become a new staple to the montly diet.
-
You fail at turning the wheel the correct direction for pictures.
Doh!! I wondered how long it would take for someone to say something. I was in a hurry this morning when taking pics. I'll get it right next time.
-
Yeah, I know. It needs tint and lowered. Hopefully I'll get to do both this year.
Thanks for all the compliments.
By the way, I fucking hate bugs!! Anybody have a good way to get bugs off the bumper without scratching it all to hell?

Need to lose the front plate for pics. I have the filler piece, white 10 bucks?
I wasn't even thinking about that. Damn. I have a black one, but needs resprayed.

Today is her first day out of hibernation. Changed fluids, wiped her down and applied a coat of scratch x remover stuff and a coat of high gloss wax stuff.
Took some pictures before she hit the road. I'm trying to decide which one I would like to use as a sig pic. Any suggestions? You can check my album for all the pics, but here's a few that I like.

A co-worker drove his Mustang to work today, so I snapped a few pics. This is my favorite:

What's on the rear fender well over the tire?
Looks like it might say 4x4. Not sure though.
Not a fan of the stack either, but it is yours. Welcome.

I've been toying with the idea of selling my TA to save up for a vette.
However:
1. I don't really want to be without a toy for a while.
2. Not sure that I want to jump on the vette bandwagon.
3. I have lost a lot of blood and sweat working on the TA.
Who does construction?

So I FINALLY received my estimate today from this douchebag. Here's what he had to say:
1. Dig and pour footer from house around complete outline of bump out App: 4’ x 10’.
2. Lay up block foundation to correct height.
3. Frame in new bump out area
4. Install 2 new double hung windows
5. Install new full glass door
6. New siding and wrap on exterior
7. Tie in and shingle new roof
Total $4560.00
Here is my response:
Thanks for getting this to me. However, items 4 and 5 are not what I asked to have done. I do NOT want a door on the bumpout. I want windows all around.
Yeah, so I won't be using this guy. He'll probably re-quote it and then I'll tell him to piss off because he didn't listen to what I wanted and took 3 weeks to send me a quote.
