  1. my mustang has a carb and I messed with it i think 2 times this ear I took it to nmra cruised and everything if you get it good enough to where you dont really have to fuck with it then dont now if you want to make more power and stuff their pretty easy to mess with but the good thing is most people know stuff about carbs so you can get help wherever your at but with efi you gotta get it tuned take it somewhere and all that imo carbs are fine

    Wat? Use periods, son!

I had a 79 Z28 w/ a 400SB, Holley 750, and that thing was a bitch to get set right. Of course, that car was heavily modded, so that might make a difference. I swore I'd never own another carb'd vehicle again.

You might have better luck. To each their own.

  2. Depends on whether or not it is for personal or intranet/other users. If you just want a personal database for url/un/pw type stuff there are a hundred options out there.

Alot of us use keepass or pwsafe.

    Start googling yo.

This is what I'm looking for. It's going to be for my use only. Thanks bro!

  3. For you guys that work in IT, what do you use to keep a log of your servers, their IP addresses, logins, etc.?

My boss never wrote anything down when he configured our network and servers. I want to get things a bit more organized.

I also want to use something that is secure. What do you suggest?

  4. I didn't know him personally, just laughed my ass off at almost all, if not all, of his posts. When I first heard about the wreck on the radio this morning, I was hoping that it was no one on here. What a bummer. I'm in shock.

RIP Kenny. Thoughts and prayers go out to his friends and family.

  5. From what I found that computer uses a standard ATX power supply. Any 300+watt ATX 20+4 pin power supply should do.

It's not JUST a power supply issue. From what I've read, the power supply did go, but it also took the mo bo with it.

  6. I have a emachine down stairs some where, ill check the model number when im back home and let you know what it is.

I have an emachine that quit booting a few weeks ago so I bough a new CPU. You are welcome to have it if you want to try to piece it together and make one machine work. I will check the model # tomorrow.

Did either of you get a chance to check the model #'s?

  7. You put a mission critical application on a cheapo eMachines PC, and you don't have a backup?

I didn't do it. I know better than that. It was on that pc long before I started working here.

  8. So you need to restore data from the hard drive? You can buy a cheap $20 hard drive to USB device and hook it up to a working computer. Then you can copy the data over to the working computer.

Is this what you have in mind?

It's not just data, it's an application that I need to run. If data was all I was concerned about, I know how to do that.

It's an application that we use to make employee badges and grant access to certain areas of the building. We have a big wig from corp coming out on Monday, and for some reason, this has all of a sudden became a major issue. The pc has been down for a month or so.
