  1. Not an exact pic of my car, but similar to what I had. 96 Firebird Formula with automatic trans. Wish I would have kept this car. The rear control arm bushings were squeaking really bad. I had the control arms replaced several times and the noise kept coming back. I traded the car in for a 98 dodge ram 4x4 sport. After I traded the car, I stumbled across the fix in a jeg's magazine. I was pissed. http://images.cars.com/phototab/MDC/19/442419/949030665.jpg

  6. I was waiting for a huge fail that never failed to be delivered. So, this fail vid is full of fail. In summary, trees are awesome. Do not try to destroy them.
  7. I DVR all of the shows I like. I might watch for a couple hours two or three nights a week. I work too much and spend all day at a computer at work. The last thing I want to do when I get home is stare at another monitor.
  8. People don't use them anyway.
  9. Fucking AirQuest got me for like $7K, but that was for a furnace AND heat pump. I'm still not 100% certain it's working to it's full efficiently capable capacity. I need to have someone come out and do a check-up on it. Buck, How was your experience with Best? Would you recommend them?
  10. Sorry you're having to go through this, Tim. This is why I disconnected myself from my local family. All they wanted was money and drugs. Hope you are able to get everything worked out.
  11. Interesting. I was actually contemplating checking out the new F1fiddy's. http://editorial.autos.msn.com/blogs/blog--nhtsa-investigates-fords-ecoboost-v6-following-two-lawsuits?icid=autos_4373
  12. My first earthquake experience was about 3 years ago when I was visiting my mom in Reno. We were sitting in the living room and it started moving. Only lasted like 2 seconds. I freaked. Mom looked and me and started laughing. I asked her what that one might have registered and she said it probably didn't even really register. She said that they were having worse ones earlier that year that knocked pictures off the wall. That would suck.

    Dat jeep

Nothing against you or your jeep at all, but me personally would have an extremely difficult time paying that kind of money for a vehicle that has 75,000 miles.

  16. Either way, it's still Craftsman and has a lifetime warranty. If anything breaks, you take it to the store for a replacement, no questions asked. Right?

    Eff vacations...

This is what I keep saying and yet she doesn't care. Plus the fact that I need to give more than a day's notice at work.

    Eff vacations...

I won't drive anything over 4 hrs. I hate driving or sitting in a car for that long.

    Eff vacations...

Holy hell, how did you know or remember that? She's not digging the weekend get-away idea. She wants a week-long vacation where it's much warmer than it is here. How long does it take to drive to VB?

    Eff vacations...

Yes, I am ranting about her spending so much money is such a short amount of time and then wanting to take a last minute week-long vacation. The divorce comments are unnecessary. What was I thinking asking for last minute get-away ideas on here?

    Eff vacations...

I am missing the funny. Please explain.
  23. The wife is wanting a vacation really bad; even though we have one planned the first week of July. She wants to go like yesterday. So she contacted a travel agent and here is the result. All of these are for 1 week... 1. Cancun/Riviera Maya Mexico Iberostar Del Mar – 2922.00 Sunset Princess – 2685.00 2. Jamaica Dates again are May 4-11. Flights again on Delta with plane change in Atlanta – morning flight down, afternoon flight home. 5 Apple Square Deal – Negril area – 2500.00 Riu Negril – 2540.00 Riu Ocho Rios – 2694.00 Iberostar Rosehall Beach – 3114.00 3. Punta Cana 6 Apple Square Deal Swim Out Room – 2435.00 Now Larimar – 2477.00 Riu Bambu – 2113.00 4. Cruise Least expensive cruise as you might imagine is Carnival. Carnival Dream – sails from Port Canaveral (flights are into Orlando) – stops in Nassau, St. Thomas and St Martin. Only cabin type available is an interior cabin which is 1252.00 total for two people with tax included. total about 2126.00. I would estimate that on a 7 night cruise you would have about 1000.00 additional out of pocket for gratuities, shore excursions, drinks. 5.Florida Looking at Key West, flights to Key West are 800.00 per person which is crazy. So I looked at flights to Miami and then you would drive down to Key West. Flights to Miami are about 368.00 per person for a decent schedule. Most of the hotels are showing sold out, but the Wyndham Reach Resort would be 2399.00 total with tax for the 7 nights. That would mean a total with flights and car of about 3235.00 and still needing to add food and activities. We just bought a new couch, rug, and pillows for the living room... $5K. She just bought an elliptical and two bicycles for us... $3K. She wants new patio furniture. She wants a new kitchen table. She wants the master bathroom remodeled. Now she wants a last minute week long vacation which would cost upwards of $3K. Anyone have any other last minute beach get-away ideas that won't break the bank? Rant off TL;DR Cliffs: Wife wants everything under the sun that we can't afford all at once. Now she wants last minute vacation which would cost around $3K. Any beach vacation suggestions that won't cost an arm and a leg?
