Just look for a quarry in your area. Most places will fill your truck up for you. Something to keep in mind if you do go pick up gravel... Get a large heavy duty tarp. Before they dump the gravel in your truck, drape the tarp so that it is covering the tailgate and bumper and also lines about 1/2 of your bed. The gravel will destroy the paint and plastic trim as it's being dumped because their buckets are much wider than the length of your truck bed. Also, when you get home, you can lower the tailgate without gravel falling between the bed and tailgate, which doesn't allow the tailgate to go all the way down. I found this out the hard way on my first trip. Needless to say, I took a tarp with me on my 2nd trip.

It would've take a shitload of mulch and been much more expensive. Plus, I would have to re-mulch every year or two. This is damn near maintenance-free, which is the main reason for doing the gravel. Most of the gravel is smooth. Someone with tough feet could probably walk on it barefoot, but not me. Walking on any gravel hurts my feet.

It was built in 73 by a couple who were retired. It's 2,000 sq. ft. plus a full basement. I lived in a Dominion Homes house for about 6 years and hated it. I grew up in an old country house, so this fits me perfectly. I've been trying to get rid of the "old timer's" look/feel to it somewhat. I think once I put some plants down next spring, that'll help some.

It must be the angle of the pic because it's not that dramatic in person.

My home heat pump stopped working, again. This is the third time in a year. It's time to replace it, which means the entire furnace system needs replaced as well. So, in order to do that, I need to sell the quad. I don't really ride it much anyway. I bought it last year late fall/early winter. I've ridden it maybe a dozen times. I've never had a problem with it starting. The plastics do have scratches, but still in good shape. Everything works, clutch, shifter, brakes, lights, etc. I have the title. I need to sell this asap. Looking to get $2,500, but cash talks. No trades. I would like for it to be picked up, but if you absolutely don't have a way to pick it up, I can bring it to you. I will also include a set of wooden ramps. Any questions, just ask.

The first load in my truck was 2 and 1/4 tons. It was about $25. The second load was 2 tons and it was about $22. I got it at Mason's. It's off Alum Creek on the south end.

I have an appointment with Jim Keim Ford Wednesday morning to see if they can diagnose the problem. Besides, my front SRS impact sensor is bad as well, so I'm going to have them replace that while I'm there.

Shit dude, I appreciate the offer, but it's gonna be a while...a long while. I still have a ton of stuff to do to the house. I have two bathrooms, living room, and family room to remodel and finish my basement. Due to the limited availability of funds, I can only do one major project per year. This year was the patio. I will keep it in mind though.

Thanks. And I agree. Plus, I feel that if you don't get it, you're not a true Buckeye fan. LoL!

That is fucking badass!! I will have that when I build the detached garage.
-
I agree, but once I add some plants next spring, it'll look much better. I just wanted to get this much done now so that I don't have to keep fighting the damn weeds.
-
LoL! Why is that?

This is what the front of my house looked like when I moved in. http://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii316/OsuSully/House/Before/house5.jpg I have since removed the wagon wheels, but don't have a pic of those gone. Just imagine them not being there. I removed the bushes and the white shutter things on the sides of each window. I had the "flower bed" area dug out so that rain will drain away from the house. I installed a removeable/extendable flag pole. Then I put weed barrier down. Finally, I hauled in 4 and 1/4 tons of gravel to fill all of it in. I hauled the gravel in my truck in 2 loads and shoveled it out of the bed of my truck by myself last weekend. It was over 90 degrees both days. That sucked!! I want to plant a few flowers in the bigger area, but will wait until next spring. Anyway, on to the pics.... http://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii316/OsuSully/House/After/House001.jpg http://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii316/OsuSully/House/After/House002.jpg http://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii316/OsuSully/House/After/House003.jpg Yes, I'm going to get something to hide the well thing seen in this pic. http://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii316/OsuSully/House/After/House004.jpg http://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii316/OsuSully/House/After/House005.jpg

What about pet odors? When I bought my TA, the guy I bought it from must have hauled a pet around quite a bit in it and you can tell...to this day and I've had the car a little over 4 years. I have fabrezed it, left the tops off with windows down for days/weeks on end, car fresheners, etc, and still can't get that funky stench out. Doc, would your method get that smell out? If it would work, I could bring it up one weekend. PM me what you would charge to do that.

Yeah, Ricart is pretty much within walking distance from my house, but I am not fond of them either. I've had awesome service from Jim Keim Ford. After reading a bunch of stuff, I'm thinking that it may be in my best interest to take it there and let them run diagnostics on it. I could spend hundreds replacing parts and never fix the problem. At least with their diagnostics, they hopefully can tell me what the hell is causing this. If they could at least do that much, I would then have the option of buying the part and replacing it myself or just let them do it, depending on cost. FFFFUUUUUUUUUUU.... I think that's what I'll do next week.

Rob put new plugs in the truck in December and I checked them all again a few months ago when this started. I'm beginning to think it's a COP or TPS. I might just end up taking to Ricart next week and have them check it out. Ugh. I soooooo don't want to do that though.
-
That's what I'm afraid of. This problem is getting really annoying and I don't know how long I'm going to have to wait before it throws a code, if it ever does. I've been doing some research. Do you think it could be the TPS?

04 F150 w/ 5.4L V8 w/ approximately 60K on the odo. A few months ago, it developed a bad miss. I checked the plugs (new in December), new fuel filter in December, checked/cleaned the air filter, pulled the MAS and cleaned it, pulled the throttle body and cleaned it. It seemed to be running fine after that. Lately, it's been missing a little bit again. At idle I notice the miss every so often at random. I could be sitting at a stop light and feel the miss once. Sometimes I don't feel the miss sitting at a stop light. It's very random. I also noticed lately that while I'm cruising the highway at 65 - 70 and slightly ease off the accelerator, the truck bucks pretty bad. It's not throwing any codes. What else can I check that could be causing this? I'm really stumped. I don't want to take it to a stealership to have them put it on a machine, say they find nothing wrong, and charge me a butt load. I feel that it's got to be something simple that I'm overlooking because I'm overthinking this. Any ideas?

Wish I could go, but going to the fair Saturday evening. I always already have plans when I find out about these kinds of events.

I haven't been out in a couple years. My left shoulder was f'd up and couldn't play. I would like to get out this fall when it cools down. This is a good thread. I'll have to save this one for use this fall.
