I looked at 2 bikes tonight - a '97 GSXR-750 and a '99 Kawi ZX-6. You should have seen that GSXR-750 - looked good from a distance, up close was a total loss. The chain was so loose (and at the rear of the adjustment) that it was laying on the swing arm (less than 10K miles)! The chrome was coming off the thing all over the place, paint was scraped off the gas tank, gas damage all around the gas cap, a chain/wire rigged around the rear brake to actuate the rear brake light, LED turn signals on the rear, one side didn't have a cover, rigged up switch to turn the radiator fan on/off, the carbs wouldn't keep up with the throttle return when cutting the throttle...it was a mess, just terrible. It ran ok, - I sat on it and revved it up a couple times and it scared me to be sure...but I'd never buy it. Well, maybe for 2K so I'd have a grand left to try and fix it up, but it had many problems. The 600 ('99 ZX-6) was in a really good shape, some minor damage up around the front wheel fender, other than that it was in perfect shape. strong throttle, but definitely wanted to be warm. New tires front/back, everything stock. Really a fantastic bike and the clear winner tonight. CBR600 F4 tomorrow - but if that one doesn't fly I'm buying the ZX6.
