Looks like nice weather for once! I've been down for a couple of weeks with health issues so I haven't been riding for crap. Doc has gotten on some meds and I am finally safe to ride again. Also bike night at the Hooters on Rome Hilliard on Friday too - 2 bike nights this week! yay!

I'm gonna put this on my calender since I live over that way - should be pretty cool even if some of the hooters chicks don't live up to the hype

When I went down (only once for me so far knock on wood) I remember the first thing I did was scurry off the road because I figured I was about to get run over!

I'm on the west side, right at I-70 and Wilson road. Not going up tonight, but maybe next week we can ride (weather pending of course)..?? Why can't we super-slab it? I don't get off work until 5:30 and navigating to 71/Polaris via side/back roads can take a while as well as putting us in the path of many sleep-deprived cagers!

I've made some other plans since the weather is going to be wack. I'll catch up at the next one if the weather doesn't suck.

Not to hijack the OP's thread - is there a way to lubricate the outside of the fork seal to prevent deterioration? I'm thinking it needs to stay dry because if there is some silicon on the seal it would attract dirt, which could then get jammed down into the seal between the upper and lower fork tubes with the normal up/down motion of the forks. I just don't want to have mine go bad anytime soon

I graduated from Devry in 2006 - they are different from ITT and such because they offer state-accredited bachelor degrees, something the other schools don't do. That said, 4 years of devry ran me right around $45K total (OUCH!)

I just found out that I'm doing opening day for the indians on the 10th! Hopefully I'll be back in partying form after heading up to Cleveland for the game then back and start early on Saturday too!

I understand this is a big deal - I didn't jump to conclusions and I wasn't disrespecting the fallen rider, just going on what was posted here. Read Jagr's post above. I hope he wasn't speeding - I would feel better knowing that one of our own was doing the right thing when he went down.

I thought there was a guy on these boards that was there at the accident - he said they were going over 100 mph. I was going on that. If he wasn't speeding - well that does change things pretty significantly.

This is terrible. What the hell is wrong with people riding 100+ mph at night down at street with a 35 mph speed limit? I don't like riding at night let alone going 100+ mph. My prayers to the family and friends of the rider and that poor woman in the car. The rider - well he was doing something completely stupid and paid the price. R.I.P.

Hey - congratulations and thank you for signing up to serve our country! Navy man here - 6 years of active duty 90-96. Best decision I made in my entire life. Yes I was ready to get out, but that experienced changed my life for the MUCH better. RE: boot camp - keep your mouth shut, your eyes and ears open. Follow instructions - that's the whole point of boot camp. How can they trust you with multi-million dollar equipment if you can't fold your shirts right?? I'm sure you'll do fine.
