Saw another abandoned mine on the side of the road.... Locked up pretty tightly, so no inside shots.

As we got back to the desert, the rain disappeared...

Some rain pelted us as we left. It actually felt pretty good...

Place had a small pool outside the bar. Kinda odd. The cables above the pool are for the ski gondola....

Bacon burgers and a beer... Almost heaven!

Food choices kinda sucked in town, so we headed up to a ski lodge on the hill overlooking town for lunch...

We are riding to Telluride for a quick lunch. It' s about 150 miles each way, but it's a great ride...

Next day and we take a quick blast down the canyon road...

Choppers bringing guests from Denver... Beats the shit outta driving for 6 hours I guess.

Scored a nice suite with private hottub and patio... More Rock Star parking next to the car museum...

Gateway is a cool place. ShittyGixer and Casper went here with me a few years back...

Out of the bike gear, showers and into the bar in about 16 minutes. Not a record, but a respectable time...

My wife has flown out to Denver a few days prior to us and will be meeting us in Gateway, CO at a resort that we like to go to....

Late in the afternoon and Neil's bike is showing an outside air temp of 113F. We're in Hotchkiss, CO now and need to haul some but to make the hotel for the night....

Paonia Reservoir had a few boaters on it. I would have traded the bike for a boat at this point - it was getting hot again....

Stopped on the other side of Aspen near a stream to cool down for a bit... The water was cold as Hell and felt great..

Onwards and upwards. Climbing in elevation again... Route 82 just west of Twin Lakes, CO

Roadside stream. Had to stop and fuck around in it. Climbing some rocks and tempt breaking an ankle or something...
