Finishing the basement! Tried for a Man Cave but the wife says we need a family cave instead. Doing the majority myself but will probably contract out the drywall finishing. Never could figure out the touch to get that crap smooth. Anyone on here know anyone that can do drywall?

Nope. Didnt see anything I need, besides that if I bring home another part/accessory/"something i might use someday", the wife might just kick me to the curb! a friend of mine went and picked up a set of rear signals for his '07 sportster for $20.

Just got back from the swap meet. Table after table of old parts for HDs, complete engines, tanks, seats, fairings, hard bags, complete front ends, on and on. The only thing I saw that was remotely related to a metric bike was a hat that said, "Why yes it is a F@*&ing Yamaha". There were a few clothing vendors, some with what looked to be cheap leathers. One booth even had XXX DVDs. Most people looked like they were walking right past the admissions table. I figure if you knew what you were looking for and couldn't find it through a dealer or parts house, you could probably find it at one of these. Overall impression... meh.

Never been to a swap meet before. What can I expect to see there?

I stopped in and spoke to Justin one afternoon a few months back when I was shopping for a bike. They didnt have anything I could afford but he pointed me in the right direction as to what to look for in a used bike. Mitch called me about a week later to see if I was still interested in the Virago I looked at in their showroom. When I told him I still couldnt afford it and was looking around at craigslist, cycletrader.com, etc he offered to answer any questions on any bike I found, regardless of where. Didnt need to take him up on that offer, but I thought it was a nice gesture to help out a new rider. Overall they never seemed pushy or didnt laugh when I told them my budget (which wasnt much).

Good group of people in my opinion.
