  1. Many Moons ago I srviced and installed hot tubs all over the state of Ohio. We would never touch the electrical hookup for insurance and liability reasons. Get someone who knows what they are doing when it comes to a 50 amp 220V hookup. Dont skimp on this, it will only hurt yourself, your property and possibly your friends.

  2. is your wife a tech nut, or is she just going to keep the base-settings applied?

for people who liek to mess with stuff, I vote Droid. for people who don't, iPhone 4 is tough to beat.

the touch-screen keyboard made me nervous as hell, but I have zero problems with it. You owe it to your wife to have her at least play with an iPhone 4.

She is not but I am. the nuts and bolts of this phone will be more for me than her I have to admit. Still it needs to last and be somewhat user friendly for her sake. I hear good things about android and Its flexibility. And I just dont like the Apple way.

The 4g means nothing unless you live is a 4g area.

Radnor Aint a 4G area for sprint thats for sure.

  3. I am looking at smartphones for the wife (cant find one with a tasty sammich maker though:D) Currently she has a very cheap NO frills pay as you go phone that works as a phone, but doesn't have a camera, browser, etc. I am pretty much sold on the HTC EVO Shift 4g from sprint with the everything data plan but I have concerns with the slider keyboard (one of her requirements is that it has a qwerty keyboard) and its longevity. Anyone have any experience with this model or one like it? Anyone have any suggestions for a smart phone for a non-technical person?

  4. Not sure if this is the same as the battery tenders. I think this may be a battery maintainer. I.e. maintains whatever level the battery is at when connected. So if the battery is half drained when you hook it up, it will maintain that half drained state for the duration its connected instead of charging the battery to full and then changing to trickle charge mode.

I may be WAY off on this but i am 95% sure that's how it works.

  5. Totally agree the gun has been around for ever and you can get the home defense version with 7 shell cap. for 300.00 Can't go wrong for a first gun purchase

And they are built like a tank. I have drug mine through some serious crap when hunting and it has yet to let me down. A good cleaning and its good as new.

  6. I don't have anything for sale but I figure I would throw my two cents in here. I own a JD 2305, 28 hp diesel, 4wd with a 220 loader, a 62 inch belly mower and a host of 3 point implements (grader blade, box blade, tiller, spreader, roller). My tractor was my passion before I got back into motorcycles. It has handled everything I have thrown at it with ease. from Plowing my 800' driveway all winter (and a few of the neighbors), mowing 5.5 acres all summer, moving dirt, mulch, gravel, trees, whatever around with the loader. I have had it for 5 years now and it the only problem I have had is debris on the gas tank (my own fault). I know people say I paid extra for the green paint and all that BS but I tried all the major brands out and looked at grey market too. I bought based on fit and finish. The other brands didn't seem to have the same attention to detail that JD did. Very happy with the tractor. Like I said, just putting my two cents out there so take it for what its worth.

  7. After an unfortunate encounter with a gas powered weed-eater falling from its hook where its hung for five F-ing years with no issue, I now have two small indentations and one dent, along with three scratches in my tank right in front of the seat. Has anyone tried the dry ice method or one of the paintless dent removal companies to remove small dents and dings from their gas tanks? I called a few and they were all kind of iffy and "had to get back to me after they talk to some of their techs". These dents are nothing major and I am sure I can get the scratches to buff out, just pissed about the whole situation.

Interesting fact. Did you know that a gas powered weed-eater can be thrown like a javelin out of a garage for about 50 feet with the right motivation?
