  1. Thanks Everyone for the feedback. I figured I was OK just wanted some re-assurance.

Many Many years ago I service and installed Hot tubs for a living and pulled trailers all over the state of Ohio. That was with full size pickups and vans so there was never a concern about weights and limits. I know what the swaying feels like and how to react to it. Backing trailers has never been an issue for me either.

Really looking forward to seeing what the UP is all about. I hear great things about it!

  2. Quick question regarding rated towing capacities. I have a 2009 Chevy Equinox LT2, v6, AWD, factory tow package. We are planning a trip to the U.P. in Michigan at the end of August and are considering borrowing a friends pop-up camper to use for the trip. The rated towing capacity of the Equinox is 3500 pounds and the camper is 1800 pounds dry. I think we should be OK but wanted to see if anyone here may have had some experience like this. I don't want to be in the middle of nowhere and end up with a burnt transmission or blown motor.

    Thanks!

    Bill.

  3. hahahahahaha I've seen that stupid gorilla. I wish this was on video

Someone, Somewhere HAD to be recording this. Why in the hell would a person dress in a banana suit and attack a gorilla if they weren't recording it???

  4. I don't know about oakley but you can pick up a pair of Dewalt sunglasses at lowes or home depot. They look and fit great as well as offer great protection for riding.

Thanks for the info. picked up a pair of these today at lowes for 9.95. they fit my oversized melon pretty well, slide in and out of my helmet with ease and keep the wind out of my eyes when i have the visor up.

  5. CoOTeR, it was nice to meet you and your nephew. Beautiful day for a parade!

  6. +1. live in the sticks has it's benefits. I can see them coming from a long way away. In good storm I can watch the rain coming from about a mile away across the fields.

+1 We had some CRAZY ass clouds rolling through yesterday right around dusk. Looked great from my front porch!!

Although they don't mention it in this write up, they mentioned on the news clip that Hyler has a license to carry and would not be charged. During the interview he said something to the effect of, I never thought in a million years I would need to use it but I am glad i had it.

  8. I played with one of these for a week when it first came out. it seemed to be a solid tablet but at that price point ($499 with a contract) was out of my range. At $260 with NO contract it is in my range. I would use it for WiFi only. But I have concerns about NOT being able to upgrade the OS to the newest versions. I hear "Honeycomb" is the shit for tablets and no one has been able to get it to run on this device. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

I just recently got upgraded to 3 meg down and 768k up (from 768k down and 128k up) I feel like I am shitting in tall cotton now. I can stream Netflix in HD and my direct TV on demand is in HD as well!! W00T!!!
