I know a lot of you are like.... "it's just a naked 1098" but. I have to say, in red, with a few of the standard mods. this is a really good looking bike. Here is one from the monster board that someone just bought. I'm interested to see what these look like as people start doing more of the aftermarket stuff with them. Those pipes just look good IMO. I'm just saying, what more do you want.

I actually have better lighting than the picture depicts. I shot it like that because I was having fun playing with my tripod. No less, tube lights were on my list and I just picked up 3 48" double tube fluorescents. Should be a fun project for tonight.

So, I got to thinking (I know danger is around the corner) and I realized, my garage is always a mess because I don't have a central location to work.... next thing you know, I have bought lumber and screws, and ..... via Facebook, Linda (a friend of Ferrari Jeff's) is donating me pegboard. No less, I have a much more organized garage and I figure I'd share a picture. Thanks to Kevin for helping build the work bench and thanks to Steven for helping put up the pegboard, and of course thanks to Linda who donated the pegboard.

I test road a superduke this summer, along with a few other bikes up at Mid-OH. The superduke 990 was pure fun.

I thought you were getting something more street oriented. Not sure why you'd want a 600 1000 or 750 if you are thinking superbike in these displacements. Get something with straight bars in the front for the street and you'll never go back. Trust me. Go down to 555 or any of the other technical twisties in SE OH and ride them on a superbike then ride them on a monster. You'll never ride your superbike down there again. I've done both and the monster is sooooo much better. So, I'm just saying, something more upright and with less than 4 cylinders is ideal for the street, more comfortable and agile at lower speeds, more low end torque, lest you are gettting a 1000cc 4cylinder (maybe z1000) Anyway that's my 2 cents. If I was looking for a street bike, from scratch right now, the KTM superduke would be at the top of my list for good clean hooligan fun. but I also like my S2R1000 a lot.

Exactly. This thread is stupid. It's a 750, especially in the lower gear if you are WOT it will just come up when it revs into the power band. My K3 does it no problem. It's not like an uncontrollable beast because the suspension is set right on it but it has no problem lightening the front end on the power with WOT and if I sit up or pull back it comes up on the power. I would think with a K7 it would come up even easier. I just don't get this, there isn't really a technique to a "power wheelie" it's called use the throttle. If it doesn't come up you need to use the throttle harder. If you are scared then stop. I've never clutch wheelied in my life, the occasional power wheelie, which is sometimes a surprise is kinda fun. I'm doing this as hard as I possibly can!

Any consumer internet (for the most part) is going to have pretty slow upload. They are all asyncronous. In other words you may get 5 meg down but only 1 up or something like that. either way you're problem has more to do with file size. 380mb is very big for 8 minutes. If you want faster upload drop your video in windows movie maker or the apple equivalent if you have an apple and re save it in a more compressed format. You can probably make that into a file as small as 30mb. I usually go with a 70mb file size for that length of video. Quality is plenty good for you tube. Of course saving the video in a new compressed format may take some time as well depending on the speed of your computer. maybe it's 6 or half dozen of the other Either that or just make youtube a walk away event. Set it to upload and go to bed. After all you are uploading video to the internet, it's never going to be fast. Least not this year.

Wow, numbers really illustrate what I figured. I do wish desmohio was on a more solid website. The website is pretty buggy overall. True though, it's not only brand specific, it's a niche brand and it's really a small core group of people (about 50) that do any posting. It's a good group of people though, lot more face to face meeting than I've ever seen on a forum. It'd just be nice to be able to embed youtube videos, have a working shoutbox, and not have the page get double scroll bars all the time. Maybe even moderate some of the dumb posts. That's just my 2 cents though. I'm not really super adamant about it.

If the gran turismo people could ever release a game at the time they originally say it's coming out then I might say it's FTW. however, since Forza3 is out and GT5 is not. Forza3 FTW for now. Personally I think both games are awesome. I've been a gran turismo guy for ever but I like the xbox360 controller better for racing games and found forza2 to be very nice since there is really no ps3 gran turismo yet, and no the prologue doesn't count.

Using paypal will cost the seller about 3%. This is actually the same as the charge a dealer would incur if you were to buy your bike from them using a credit card. Just a factor in the negotiations to consider. I bought my Ducati that way a few years ago and after negotiating what I thought was a very good price had to pay a little more because they weren't willing to do the price we came to on a credit card.
