  1. Definitely a cold track. It was still in the low 50s and was just starting to warm up. it was 38 when we showed up about an hour and a half before. I do agree mike could get out of the seat a little more but who am I to criticize. he is getting into the high 1:30s at mid-OH so he must be doing something right. You also have to remember, Mike is an old man with arthritis and a sore back he can only get so far off the bike JK. Different riding styles for different folks, really what it comes down to is track was cold and Mike forgot when someone passed him real fast. Funny how the competitive nature will make us do dumb shit. how else you gonna learn though right. You know, it's kinda crazy what works for different people. I'm still blown away by the lean angle Matt Carr was running at Mid-OH this summer and he was running consistent 1:33s on this 748R. Check out this picture where he is about to overtake this dude. The dude has perfect body position and Matt is the huge dude behind him running insane lean angle. It worked for him! Not saying it's "correct" but like I said who am I to criticize when I am still running in the 1:50s. Here is another He ended up winning both races, even in spite of a drive thru penalty he had to serve. It was really cool to watch the unorthodox riding style and ballsy passes that made it happen. Always fun to see the fast dude have to come up through the field from the back.
  2. I just ran the 120/70 S1200 soft & 180/55 S1800 med-soft at Barber this past weekend. They felt great and provided excellent grip. If you have a track only bike and don't need DOT tires, these are great.
  3. The bike actually isn't in bad shape, it didn't tumble. New skins and clip ons and a few other things and it's ready to go back out.
  4. We're on our way home from barber. Really good day for Steven and I but Mike finally lowsided his 1098s . Video below and more pics to follow. Just messing around on the internet on the way home. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3KGm8_fFkG8

    02 February

That's mike. He's fastduc on here I think.
  6. Why is it so hard to post a picture
  7. You get any lap times? We timed the first few people in the first session 3:32s were looking about where people were at.
  8. The only bike that came out of the trailer was the yamahopper. I only have part 2 of the video processed. We were testing out mike's new gopro camera, hopefully at barber next week we'll have some cool track footage. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nQXPeYVWMe4
  9. Hey Gixxie, we took off before I saw you over at the trailer. Glad you guys had fun. I've ran in the rain before but it was 30 degrees warmer. That weather today was miserable. Kinda funny watching everyone come through the carousel straight up and down though.
  10. I think the schedule for next year comes out January 2nd or something. Why not just pick a day later in the summer and get everyone from OR to sign up way early and dominate the day. I dunno, I like where your heads at but the liability is tough to get around. Either way, if something culminates I'd be in. I like discounts.
  11. Just sayin a 675 triple, I know of only 1 of those and it's a triumph.
  12. They may retail for that but are they being sold for $23, I vaguely remember a friend who bought a 1098S saying he almost bought an MV for about the same money but decided on the duc. Then again I guess 1098S is more than 18 too. Either way 12,500 is probably a good price but like someone said, demand may be low so you might be able to get it for better. Don't know though, it's not like you can reference all the other craigslist adds were other dudes have the same bike for sale for more or less with varying amounts of aftermarket stuff and miles. It's just rare so you just have to decide if you want it $12,500 worth or not.
  13. Seems like a reasonable price to me for that bike. I think they are 18ish new but not sure. I would think take a used 1098S then add a little to get value. Could be wrong though, I've only seen a handful of these before. I did ride Chris's 750 on a ride once though. It was pretty fun. Here's my big ass on an MV
  14. well, they give you cups too. as far as pissing goes, we were at the top of the hill that was cleared, but above that there was wooded area. I pissed up there several times.
  15. I've ridden both. It would be a tough call, both are awesome bike, but..... I'd go with the superduke. That thing is bad assed.
  16. Good times had by all today. The hill climb is an event I would recommend to anyone..... and before you all ask. Yes that is a gallon of beer in Kamran's hand. These people have been doing this for 60 years and apparently have things figured out. THEY SELL GALLONS OF BEER. yota, did you go? you should have called me or Mike. We drove, you could have ridden with us.
  17. I didn't realize he was looking for take offs for the street. either way, if he wants to buy them he can buy them and do what he wants. I think we are all aware of the consequences of running slicks on the street, and we are adults and can decide for ourselves. Me, I wouldn't run them at the gap, but I've seen others that have.
  18. I got some front is a pirelli superbike tire rear pirelli dragon, both good $50 each I also have 1 unused pirelli dragon for $80 all are slick tires.
  19. on 78 about 10 miles East of Mcconnelsville.
  20. Dunno, nobody bothered us. We didn't try to put our bikes IN the shovel though. I think we would have been hard pressed getting in there with out breaking something on the bikes though.
