  2. Ran this today. Lots of baggers out. Old Irondale rd. out of Irondale is a gravel/dirt road hill climb. Friggin crazy. To steep to stop moving but lots of fun. I don't recommend that road unless you've ridden lots of dirt bikes. The best part of 646, east of 152, has some construction. http://webapp.werideapp.com/routes/66444
  3. Stuck this waterproof voltage gauge in today. Wired the positive to the battery thru a fuse with a bullet connector near the battery too easily disconnect for storage. Sucks in the sun but there aren't many options this small or locations to mount.
  4. Skipping it. It's charging fine now. I think the majority of the issues were 2006 and prior.
  5. Tell us what kind of reverse lights they are and if they work.
  6. Rest of the pics for Ninja doc. The red wires to the right of the battery are the vfrness fuse wires. The shiny black wire is the VFRness being routed along the fuel line under the tank and out from underneath the tank and then the positive red wire that hooks to the battery then the other red wires stay behind the subframe and come out on the other side of the battery to where the bikes other 30 amp fuses are,

  8. I appreciate it but there's no room, the connector wires are to short to re-route. Below the hose is no good the fairing is closer there. Shifting the wires toward the front is no good. The relay if fine. It's the height of the green wire and pushing out mess. Maybe if the guy gives me a hard time returning it.
  9. Frack this VFRness, sending it back. It doesn't fit under the fairing correctly no matter which way you route the wires. I can't find one picture online of a 2007 with the vfrness routed at the plug connection to see the holy grail of how to route this without bowing out the fairing a 1/4". Screw it. Connector looked fine. Putting in a volt meter though.

  14. Yes or at least ground from trailer plug to trailer at the tongue. Considering your vehicle trailer harness from it's trailer plug has an actual ground wire and that ground wire is still connected. Lots of times people put the vehicle trailer plug ground wire to a ring terminal and a machine thread bolt under the vehicle somewhere and they corrode super fast. If your trailer was painted before assembly this could be why a good ground is not obtained near the back of the trailer, disregarding if the trailer is grounding thru the tongue and ball and/or the vehicle trailer plug.

  16. The world made it thru ok before battery tenders existed. It's a lot of marketing hub bub. Although vehicles with battery drain is a concern. I normally put batteries in the basement for winter storage if it's super easy to remove such as a boat battery or something.
  17. Also, A lot of times the vehicles trailer plug doesn't have the ground (white wire) going anywhere although it looks like it does. Some plugs the ground terminates at the plug doing nothing. Ground is achieved thru The vehicle hitch to trailer tongue in that case.
  18. Not a believer in "must have a battery tender". The Honda 599 battery lasted 8 years. No tender and spent half of those years in freezing temps while in storage. Charge it before you put store it.
  19. Odd. You sure a regulator isn't bad or they were dead and froze?
  20. I'm not 100% what you have but those square jobbers with a rectangular running light that contain brake, running, and side light, corrode a lot. Theyre the most common trailer light assemblies you find every where and I won't buy them again. Rubber mounted or marine class.
  21. Got the vfrness, volt gauge, ang sub port. Now to to install everything without messing something up.
  22. Napa has the rubber mounted types. Circle or oval type. Led or traditional. I've never had lights fail that quick though. The rubber mounted ones last longer and you can just pop out a bad one, in and out.
