  2. I had the opposite experience when I ran it in my RC51. It wasn't overwhelming, but did run a few degrees cooler with engine ice vs. standard coolant. Then put water wetter in it and it ran about the same difference cooler. Granted "cooler" running for the illogically engineered RC51 cooling system can be a bit of a misnomer. It was still hot as fuck.

Seems silly to install a full Akro system and a tuner to a bike with a budget-minded build. Just ride what you have and save your money.

I think this is the first time I have seen the words "Akro system" and "budget minded" in the same sentence. However, in this case, they are used properly.

  4. I have found that now that I have a street bike again, I am using the kill switch on her. Probably force of habit from spending the last 4 seasons only on a track bike that has no key. But for the street it is surely not necessary. Anywhoo...I also put my shit in neutral at a light once traffic behind me has stopped, park the bike in 1st, jerk off with my left hand (because the right either controls the mouse or I pinch my nipples with it), eat my salad with whatever fork I choose, pass gas in front of house guests (but say 'Excuse me' because I am fucking classy), and always walk your mom to her car when I am done with her because while I do care that she makes it there safely, she sure as fuck isn't spending the night.

  5. funny....actually only have 5 on my bike now thank you very much

If you get it to me tomorrow or Thursday I could fiberglass and have it ready by the weekend.

I did only have 5 for the last race, as the single mount on the back side of the left fork broke in the middle of the hole. So I torqued the hell out of the screw and raced like that, but found the other day that the same thing happened on the right side. And, I am out of fiberglass repair stuff myself, not that AutoZone is a three state drive or anything. i will ping you tomorrow. I work from home, so I plan to hit a salvage yard and see if they have any. Otherwise I might swing over tomorrow night. I'll text ya if I do.

  6. So, I kinda need to get a front fender for the track bike before this weekend. Just noticed last night how bad mine is. Anyone have one for an '06 gixxer 600/750 in the CLE/AKR area? I don't care what color, just as long as it has 6 good mounting holes. Mine has about 3 and a half. Derp.

    Thanks peeps!

  7. Hola OR peeps. If you don't mind, ping me if you come across a deal on something akin to a PW50, TX50, etc. Looking for a starter bike for my 11 year old daughter. It doesn't have to be aesthetically pleasing, it just has to work and work safely. Heck, even some cosmetic repair or TLC would be handy as I plan to teach her basic maintenance on the thing. And it goes without saying like a lot of us here, the cheaper the better. :D I am looking in the couple to few hundred dollar range for the entire investment. Just looking for something to get her feet wet for a year or two before she is either bored with it (doubtful, as she would be disowned) or ready to move up in size.

As always, thanks OP types for taking the time to read this. Cheers!
