Good info here, guys! A full set of Optimal skins (as I am sure Ryan knows by now) is less than half of a set of Sharkskinz. The ones on the newer bike are kinda rashed up, and I have been patching and painting them in the garage for a couple days. But I hope to replace them in the offseason and use the current ones as backups should gravity become overwhelmingly apparent mid corner some where.

What body work vendor did you go with? I looked into Optimal for my "new" bike, but I have the stock header and according to their website you can't use the stock header with their skins. I have also heard that the Optimal skins have had a hard time taking paint. Any truth to this on your end, Hobs?

So then is the plan for most to do Moto Monday at Nelson if it appears Mid OH is gonna be wet? I know that is what I plan to do, unless my tires don't show up today. Then I am sitting the day out.

Gang, I am in need of a rivet master link for a DID 525VM chain. I sought out one from my boy Nathan at Riders Discount, but the VM is a discontinued chain by DID, replaced by the VM2. However, the VM2 master link is not compatible with the VM currently wrapped around my sprockets. So does anyone within our happy interwebz family have a line on this link that is apparently going the way of the dodo? I have done my best to scour the 'net at work, but thanks to Exchange issues and the like, my time has been compromised by having to do my job. Thanks folks!

The front is a SC2 with 3 track days on it, the rear is a SC slick that has 2 days on it. Plenty of wear, though can't confirm the # of heat cycles its been through. But it looks really good.

Providing I get new tires (which I may have to do at the track - looking into that today) I should be signed up by Wednesday with a keen eye on the weather. Though it looks like that shouldn't be an issue. Also, anyone interested in a ser of Pirelli Supercorsas, included a rear slick? I will have a set cheap for the OR crowd!
