  1. I have been in a pair of Reebok Zigtechs for a year and they are the most comfortable shoes I've worn. I had microfracture surgery on my left knee 3 years ago and this is the first pair of shoes that I have been able to run in and not feel a significant impact on my knee. I highly recommend them to anyone.
  2. Eh, not quite the same. I can't patronize insurance companies that only insure helmeted riders, and pay a lower premium for those of us that chose to ride properly outfitted. Nor do I have the luxury of having a lower premium for riding with a helmet, or paying a higher one for taking the risk of not wearing one, as one does when admitting or tested for being a smoker on health coverage. Personally, I don't think there should be a law forcing someone of adult age to wear a helmet. But if one day it comes to pass that insurance companies don't have to pay out for dead riders when it can be proven a helmet would have saved the rider, I won't bitch.
  3. RIP, but another case of natural selection.

^^This. I was spoiled by working for an accessories shop in Jax in the mid 90's and we were a licensed Oakley dealer. Since, I simply haven't found much else that I quite like as much. And they are one of 3 places...on my face, on top of my head, or in the overhead storage in the cab of my truck.
  5. Fair play to you sir, I should have better qualified my bullet points. I oo have spent a fair amount of time in Daytona, having been a resident of Jacksonville for 6+ years. What used to crack me up was the hot chicks that were taken to a Harely dealership for photo ops or just as eye candy, and came on the back of a Gixxer, Ninja, or R1.
  6. Significant difference overlooked in this thread: Nipples on the bitch on the back of a Ducati - north of her navel, pointing forward Nipples on the bitch on the back of a Harley - south of her waistline, pointed at her feet Please continue...
  7. Absolutely, Hutch! I am home, Kev will be in moments, and we are both tired and whooped. But today was awesome! Thanks to jbot, Craig, Mike, and everyone for the tips, pointers, and ball busting that makes days like today worth every mile traveled. I am going to bed.
  8. "Shut your fat ass, Rayvie!! I can't go buy smokes without running into at least nine guys you've fucked!"
  9. It's what we do, mang. I've never considered helping a friend an inconvenience.
  10. Um, 'cause I'd not take the 10 minutes it takes to run over to your pad and help. If'n you ain't at the track tomorrow, I am coming over and taking your SV and giving that twin a proper home.
  11. The RC will be 8 in October.
  12. Holy shit! Is that a back protector or a catcher's chest pad? Looks uber protective, though. I likes.
  13. Yeah, I thought about that about 30 seconds after you left. Though you are bit more svelt and in shape compared to myself. Maybe Motoseries has rentals or something at the track. Regardless, its my own fault for not being prepared.
  14. Question...might anyone have a spare back protector that is going? Kev has extolled the virtues of them, and while I do have a CE back pad in my welder's suit, I'd like to try one. Plus, I am a little barrel chested, and I am told it has some girdle-like slimming features.
  15. I work in Valley View on Sweet Valley parkway. Bring it to work tomorrow and we'll hook up. I take lunch at 12:30 or so. r1 is my bitch, so he'd be using it for me anyway.
  16. Glad I could be of some help. Just for sanity's sake, I'd read the circuit through the pump to make damn sure I need to replace that and just don't have a short or something along the way. (Not to insult your intelligence here.)
  17. Thoughts and prayers for you and yours, and Godspeed to another vet called home.
  18. Not 100% sure on the Gixxers, but on the Hondas, we have a connector under the seat that we can jumper to get FI codes that help with troubleshooting. If you have a service manual for your bike, something like that should be in there. Good luck with the issue!
  19. Meth is what we use to bleach the gene pool. Sometimes, it's just slow to do the job.
