  1. ^idk where you see that but its for sure 10-11 at mid ohio. i'll be there for sure as well sjc1000 and tomcat. look for me in the kids handprint bike lol
  2. pretty much done, need to fine tune the idle and needs new brake pads but other than that its complete. pics taken with GoPro HD R5 setting (1080p)
  3. the physical throttle position is different from what the ecu determines the actual throttle body positioning to be (or something like that) its not a 1:1 ratio unless the yamaha owner has a yec kit ecu or reflashed unit.
  4. i'll let you know when im done with mine if it was a "great success"
  5. i thought prostitution was prohibited on OR?
  6. been to all of them, again nothing special imo. when i think party school i guess i have higher expectations.
  7. good week to be unemployed.
  8. ^meh. just a closed street with bar hopping. thats just one day (night) out of a whole year, is that really what sets it at #2? then college parties are truly lacking.
  9. athens, ga - #1 athens, oh - #2 i really don't think its all that great, i've been there a few times and i don't know what all the fuss is about.
  10. if you find a place like that, i would keep that card very close to the chest...
  11. if you're on the r6 forum, search for the "agg block off plates" or something like that, agg2001 (or close to it) makes them. fit was good and the quality is pretty spot on and a good price from what i remember. edit: here
  12. now i remember why i got rid of my old carb'd R6... man what a PITA this is. won't run without the choke, but the choked idle is at the point of what a regular idle should be (~1500), so im going to try and raise the idle tomorrow and see if that helps. i also think i need to increase the amount of turns in the idle mixture screw. anyone else have thoughts to add?
  13. this is what made me think he didn't have one, must have bought one since that post.
  14. wait it has a full exhaust, and the owner didn't put on a pc3 then? i'd get that pc3 asap before anything else so you don't do any potential damage with the extreme change in fuel ratio. also with that bike, look into tank sliders by eti tank sliders, dude is a real good guy to work with, reason being if you ever have a fall while riding the tank can hit and rupture and burst into flames. just an insurance deal. also when you open up into the filter area, check and see if it has smog block off plates. their just pieces of metal that replace/cover where the smog reeds go into, easy to spot as the engine and smog stuff is black, whereas the block off plates are metallic. other than that it looks good, and get that bike to the track dude!! i know you said you're getting used to it, but stt has a very good novice/entry level program. if you're comfortable at highway speeds, then they can find a place for you.
  15. if you're looking to keep your current set of OEM bodywork... well... OEM/stock... then i've heard nothing but good things about auctmarts: http://auctmarts.com/main/ if you don't care whether you keep your street set of bodywork OEM or custom, then i have to jump on teh Attackpainter/614 paintworx bandwagon. the quality is top notch work and you won't be disappointed. i'd give him a call first though as he's got a pretty full plate during AMA season with the teams that he's working with, you may have to wait until off season to do it. BUT give him a call and he'll work with you on what you want to do.
  16. would also help to know how the hell you buy fairings for a bike when you have "none :("
  17. this is so much better: http://www.funnyordie.com/videos/8570ed6b3c/kitty-knows-how-to-beg?rel=by_user&rel_pos=1

  19. cleaned up and waxed the fairings tonight, that yellow is even more brilliant than i thought and after 20 years still looks very good. got my other wave of parts in, hopefully get it started tomorrow after i change the oil, and prime the 2stroke oil.
  20. 1984 Yamaha RZ350 Kenny Roberts ed (2-stroke) i've been repairing/restoring this bike to running condition for my dad's friend. He's the original owner, only 3000 miles on it and its been sitting for the past 6 years. So far its come along way, first goal is getting it started which req'd cleaning the carbs and ordering new parts (mostly rubber gaskets/hoses/seals etc). I also had to clean the airbox completely from a few generations of mice nests that have come and gone. I should hopefully have it started by the weekend as long as the gas tank isn't rusting out. In the meantime while i've been waiting around for parts, i've been washing the fairings/tank getting that famous yellow to shine again. I really enjoy working on this bike, especially learning the 2-stroke deal I just can't wait to ride it when its all said and done
