  1. i can verify the validity of these statements : 8 Reasons to date a female soccer player 1) We work w/balls really well 2) We do it for 90 minutes in 11 different positions 3) We like to be on top of our game 4) We enjoy getting hot and sweaty 5) We wear short shorts for better play 6) We are used to getting/talking dirty 7) We know how to take it up the middle 8) We play the field until we score
  2. if you have any kind of armor on your back, whether its knox/astar/etc take out the egg carton foam that comes "standard" in most suits. i have a CE certified teknic back protector, a little stiff at first but now its form fit to my back. Kidney belt and shoulder straps that secure into my knox chest protector. to the OP: if you're getting a back protector, why not spend a little more money and invest in a good chest protector too? if money is a concern you can buy these same ones we are suggesting at a used price off the wera board.
  3. if you are ever in a situation where you feel like you need to grab some front or back brake because you are too fast into the turn... dont. set your speed and go with what you have. you'll make it everytime. you will never match the capabilities of the bike.
  4. ride dirtbikes for a while. ps. dont think of braking as a way to "slow down" but rather use braking as way to set your speed for the turn. ill let you think about that one for a bit.
  5. wait, you have front brakes on your vulcan? use what your bike gives you, sportbikes have large front brakes, small diameter rear - use more front than rear. the old adage of ~80/20 is about right for me whereas it used to be 100/0 for a long time. i just started using rear brake at the track this year and have loved the way it slides around, nothing like you see on tv tho. if your brake disc diameters are about the same then that is going to be closer to 50/50, following me camera guy? before turn, as much as the front will allow, some back to keep the bike calm - it'll probably around just get used to it. in a turn, hold your throttle and lean more, or (on track) give it gas and drive it out, yea seems counterintuitive but it works. get to a track bud.
  6. i will only agree if you're talking street here. back brake on entry works wonders for track purposes.
  7. haha parents and coaches are the best part man! if you don't have thick skin you will definitely not make it in the officiating business. sometimes back when i didn't care i would fuck with the coaches if they were bitchy, call a push (=to holding in football, happens all the time just don't want to call it) at midfield (no advantage loss/created) and look at them and smile drove them crazy. nowadays all the parents are up in the bleachers and i can't hear them.

  9. yes at a minimum, technically to be able to center he should be able to do 2400 in 12. easy for most if not all the younger crowd, but its ridiculous when you see these fat refs doing the semifinals and finals soccer matches for HS, and they also are supposed to be able to keep up with the college guys as well? ya ok. you apparently haven't seen these guys try and run, sorry i mean waddle.
  10. i still am trying to figure out how that fatass ref could even come close to passing the 12 min 2000 metre run requirement to even be able to officiate at the college level.
  11. It's a starter bike. You'll be hard pressed to find a starter bike that doesn't have scratches, they get dropped scratches form. Are you looking to show the bike ride, me thinks it's the latter. Start at 1300 and work from there... I'd be willin to bet you'll settle at 15
