  1. what would happen if say i ran into the wall again? would i be out for the rest of the day, or is there any chances for getting the bikes back in for possible repair?
  2. 1:45's was my pace in advanced on PP's (not 2ct's). i also dropped 4 seconds off my times the first session out in advanced, shows how much traffic can really hold you up.
  3. contemplating this event. still on the fence.
  4. Yea i went to the escape hole, although of course ihad to come to a stop exactly halfway between the two options lol. also didt want to risk coming out in front of you guys especially close to the fastest part of the backstraight.
  5. My favorite view of the day: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u9Hea6cgXck notice the bike/video bouncing at the end of the backstraight on the first flying lap (3:20 mark). Back end skipped around on me trying to catch up which was the result of the back end skipping around according to Brian, first time thats ever happened. Pretty cool tho
  6. i dont know, i don't look at the speedo. Thanks, luck or skillz im not sure. first track day was a year ago yesterday, but this is only my third trackday ever. A lot of the instructors were impressed with my riding and everyone said i looked good. Now that i am advanced i have a whole new level of learning to rise up to, man those guys are fast. But i have a clear track most of the time, and when there is traffic they are fast, so i can work on lines and putting segments together. ya she was! Bodywork is holding up just fine thanks! There is actually not a scratch on it, believe it or not... I used to hate it and the carousel, but the past two times i have started to really like them, although they are still challenging to get right. Thanks dude! It was very iffy. Actually it did bounce a little bit the first time i did the video, but then the guy i garaged with tried using a small piece of torn off paper towel as a spacer between the perma mount and clip in and worked beautifully! That is advanced group, from the rest of that video that pack of 4 i was in we were running :44-46s. I supposedly had a :42 at one point based on a friend timing me on the pitwall, but i have yet to find that lap. Either way i dropped 4 seconds off my pace and was high :44's when i moved into A group. Traffic is a killer to your laptimes. Loose on the grips, let the bike do what it wants and you'll make it through. Actually it was just luck... Reminds me of the off i had on Mills rd during the rain storm lol. When you getting to the track! You've got all that gear just sitting there... I wanna go fast! I didn't want to break my new camera lol.
  7. i think i would have made it happen if it was earlier in the day and not the last session where i was mentally drained. just glad i didn't take anyone else out.
  8. you came into my garage (i think) to see pete - blue r6, i didn't realize that was you until after we were done.
  9. frame slider smashed and bent rearset (already fixed thanks to SJC).
  10. last session of the day at Mid Ohio in advanced, combination of me getting a little overconfident and thinking i could make it stick with trying to get on the gas earlier and harder and seeing what would happen. resulted in a smashed frame slider and a slightly bent rearset..enough to bind up the shift linkage against the frame so i couldn't shift. Not a scratch on the bodywork amazingly. I was done for the session obviously. Overall, very good day and ill post more videos once i get them sorted. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wG0DZiZgIq8 ps this view is for likwid
  11. finally saw how freaking fast you are c7. damn.
  12. ill look for you and we can tow starting the second session. i usually don't do much but put around and get the bike/mind working for a few laps and bring it in early for the first session.
  13. tell him to bring a camera and take pics, magazine/book. does he know mid ohio at all? he could walk around and watch from different vantage points. he can drive anywhere on the site as there are no security/parking passes to tell you when/where you can or can't park. but yes since you are in beginner group, there won't be as much down time as if you were in I/A group. might be kind of peaceful/down time to relax and watch bikes for him if he's into that.
  14. if he's going for the R6 tell him to start looking at 03+. dont deal with the carb's and trans issues of the 99-02 r6's actually come to think of it, dont let him get carb'd anything, unless he really likes that.
  15. i know you can't hear my horn once im over 40 mph, so there is no point.
  16. well who ever is slower can tow the other around and we can help each other out im hoping to break into the :46-47's for a laptime. we'll see tho, not sure how the track will react to this weather and i've heard PP's get awfully slick with hot weather.
  17. why in the world are you dreaming about the interwebz?
  18. there are going to be a lot of partially full garages it seems... weather so far so good! just hot as hell tho. jbot - what bike you going to run? ill be looking for you and rusty going out, have fun if i dont see you on track.
  19. head up to micro center, they had a good selection last time i checked. can never go wrong with logitech if you're willing to pay the price.
