usually you can just put a rod covered in soft something through the swingarm and back wheel as a stop, or some people have even put it in gear and used the engine as the stop.

even GP is fading out. although they are going back to 1000cc (990) in two years (or three) due to the lack of ratings that they are receiving.

i find the engine is louder than the horn, at least on my bike.

i cant answer about the wear since i just installed them, but for the street so far they are fine. i just have to be careful that i dont grab a "normal" handful like i did on the HH or else i would flip the bike with these RJL's. 1 finger is enough to stop me for normal street riding. ill be in cbus - off campus early next week t-r, you are more than welcome to try the brakes out. if you are considering that much coin, take a look at the teknic xcelerator suits as well. i tried on the a-stars and shift suits and those just didn't fit me as well as the teknic did. got mine in a few weeks ago and so far i love it! its the same suit that josh hayes runs in the ama series (from what im told) and is comparable with a-star/dianese and the like that the other ama racers use. got mine for 650 OTD (retails for ~1200) via a sale thats still going on through the wera board. (SN: "slidewayz")

any ideas as to where to look around the dayton area for appraisers? if i google it ill have to sift through pages of "sell your gold and unwanted jewelry online!" crap...

first off this is NOT a for sale thread just an informal appraisal. selling a ring. to be honest i dont really know where to start or what its worth other than i bought it for 250 last year. i also don't really remember the specs either, however i do know that it is real. anyways here are some pics, let me know what you think and what you would offer so i can get a better idea of what to expect when i sell it. i would take it back to zales to get it appraised but they charge ~100 for the appraisal alone. doesn't seem to logical to pay 100 dollars for an appraisal if i might get at most 200 out of it. anyways, if you saw this for sale from a private seller what would you expect to see for the price?

with your intentions i think you'll be fine with HH pads, EBC or Galfer i've tried them both it really doesn't matter. or you could skip that all together and jump directly to vesrah rjl's which are on a whole different braking planet compared to HH pads
