  1. For what it's worth, I was down in Hocking 2 weeks ago on 93, 278, and 78, and they were all perfectly clear save for a spot or two right by a gravel driveway. The only time I ran in to any amount of gravel worth mentioning that wasn't obviously from someone's driveway was on Ilesboro Road, which is a short little segment that I like to ride just off of 93, but even then the gravel was in plain sight and easy to avoid.
  2. The GTR would be pretty sweet if it weren't for the fact that the maintenance costs are outrageously high and Nissan will do anything they can to void your warranty
  3. Eh, I'm sure the school isn't all bad, but it doesn't seem to be my kinda place judging by the people I know who go there. My roommate has a bunch of friends that go there and they came to visit one weekend...kept me up all goddamn night for 2 nights (had work at 6am both mornings) and at one point one of the girls shit in our bathtub at about 3 am...so sorry for any reservations I may have about visiting haha
  4. You're new here, so I'll give ya some free advice...no thread on Ohio Riders ever, EVER, goes in the direction it was originally intended I mean, cmon, Casper started the derailment on this one, and he runs this place But no, I'm not going to High Fest. I try to stay away from OU personally...just too crazy for my tastes
  5. What kind of pansy-ass kid needs to be distracted while being put under? All you have to do is...BREATHE. It's not that damn hard. Honestly, you could get away without even telling the little shit what he was breathing; he'd be zonked out before he know what hit him. People spend way too much time on stupid stuff like this for kids

    Slow Loris

    3... 2... 1... ..AWWWWWWWWWWWWW
  7. I'm pushing for the legalization of pot because it's a damn good way to unwind after a stressful day in the nightmare that is our current situation as a nation and race, and a hell of a lot better for you than heavy alcohol consumption or cigarette smoking. Also it makes everything awesome (food, music, movies, tv...woot) What, nobody else wanted to say it?
  8. Decent chance I'll be riding it this Saturday, I'll let you guys know how it goes.
  9. Ah man that's lame, the economy is definitely bad when it starts effecting hockey My vote is for the 16th...gunna be out of town for the weekend of the 9th for mothers day.
  10. My dreams scare the shit out of me the first time through...I really don't need them on DVD for repeated viewing
  11. Depending on what else happens this weekend I might be up for a trip down to meet/ride with you Dayton folks About how long of a hike is it from say, Iron Pony to wherever you guys meet to ride?
  12. May as well sell the Cobra now; once you've ridden a bike you'll have no desire to go back to the slow, boring world of 4-wheeled vehicles
  13. I don't mind the rain as long as I'm in the right gear...which really never happens I avoid it at all costs; if I'm out and it starts I head home or at least for dry land until it passes. It just takes all the fun out of riding
  14. So would it be cool if I brought some people from my beginner league intramural hockey team? They're all fairly decent, nobody that is god-awful. People were talking about finding a stick and puck session somewhere and practicing so I thought maybe the OR hockey outing would be a decent chance to get some ice time. I understand if we wanna keep this a majority OR event so it's no big deal if nobody wants 5+ people that nobody here knows. Also, how much is the ice again? 140 or 150 or something?
  15. Could confuse the hell out of people and go with a REPSOL scheme But really I'd just keep the one you've got. That bike looks badass, I can't imagine it any other way

  17. Exactly. I'm not too torn up about it; could have been a helluva lot worse and this way I'm sure as shit going to be more aware for the rest of the season and hopefully avoid any other stupid mess-ups like this
  18. http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1745578 Guy is driving along and takes a picture of a riced out Beretta and posts it to a forum he posts on. Owner of said Beretta finds pics, signs up on the website, and hilarity insues.
  19. Everything's cool more or less. My bike survived quite admirably; I've got some cracked plastics but nothing terrible. My insurance rates are going to go way up though, oh well.
  20. I was expecting them to say "I rode Coshocton County... ...and crashed my shit up"
  21. My bike got off easy, but the car would have been at least a thousand bucks to fix: new rear bumper, taillight assembly, and rear quarter panel, plus labor? No way I could afford that much. Plus I think the insurance company will know anyway because the cops gave the guy my insurance info so I didn't have much choice.
  22. When I first saw this thread, I didn't bother looking because i thought it would just be a cruiser-fest and too slow to be fun. When you mentioned these rides today though I knew I had been wrong about my cruiser assumption if a guy on an 848 was enjoying them so much. I'll definitely try to show up for this, it sounds awesome. *edit* Argh I just realized I'll be home for Mother's Day that weekend and won't be able to make the ride Next time around for sure though!
  23. Lesson certainly learned I think ultimately my problem is that my mind was already at home watching TV while my body was still on the return trip. Got too relaxed after having survived a ride in Coshocton with all its crazy inhabitants, and didn't bother paying enough attention to survive the ride home. Gotta stay alert all the time, not while just in the twisties. Come to think of it, I think this is something that was bound to happen because when I got pulled over last year, it was on the way home from a Hocking ride and I was on autopilot then as well and didn't notice the cop behind me. Plus, at least I'm more or less guaranteed to not have any more stupid mistakes this season, having had this happen so early in; the lesson is fresh in my head Now...anyone wanna start a betting pool on how high my insurance is going to go? Winner takes 40% and I take the other 60% to put towards said insurance? ;)
