  1. Just a thought here. I don't know anything about R6's, but I do know that people total bikes all the time. Maybe you could see if someone has a badly f'd up bike that you can get the parts you need from? There's gotta be a way to get things running again without spending an arm and a leg.
  2. Ain't nothin' wrong with HJC :beathorse:
  3. Let's just say that I'm a conservative rider and you've got a significant advantage as far as experience goes. Not saying I'm slow, just that I have some learning left to do before I'm in the same ballpark as the faster riders on here (and Coshocton seems to be the place to get some of that learning done ) Aaanyway, we can worry about pace and such come Sunday. I'm just happy to be getting out and riding this weekend
  4. Something tells me your slow is still pretty speedy to me It's all about corner speed
  5. *insert quotes from every reply to this thread thus far here*
  6. But they taste so good, and Amish buggies are 100% organic! Thanks for the advice though. I'm definitely aware each time I get on the bike that it's still early and that I'm not riding at 100% relative to last season, but I got some significant seat time over spring break and I feel that I'm certainly closing the gap. I'm looking forward to pushing myself, but not overshooting my limits. If I have to fall back through a particular set of curves to stay safe that's perfectly cool; check my post history and you'll see that I follow the idea of "ride your own ride" with religious fervor, but there is certainly something to be said about following a faster rider and pushing yourself to better your own riding skills
  7. I'm interested but it depends on how early I get my dyno runs in. I'll watch this thread to see where it goes and if I can make it out or not.
  8. Sounds good; we'll see how the day pans out; the weather still looks dubious but who knows...it's Ohio after all.
  9. Nate and I talked about this several days ago; we were going to meet at the Exxon station on Summit and 17th. I suggested 11:30 AM as it only looks to be a ~20 min ride but havn't heard anything back yet, so who knows.
  10. Looked good enough that it caught my eye while I was playing "dodge the pedestrians" on my 21-speed while in a hurry to class, so yeah it looked pretty damn good :)

  11. Ahh I see. If you're up for it cool, if not it's no problem; we'll see how it goes Saturday. I'd love to follow someone faster than me so I can push myself and hopefully learn a thing or two; I havn't done any really hard riding yet this season, everything so far has just been knocking the rust off and getting back to where I was last year :\
  12. Absolutely I was originally planning to hit you up with a visitor message or something but I think I read somewhere that you're layed up right now?
  13. If your bike is mostly a toy and not a primary means of transportation, I see no reason to not get a Ducati
  14. Were you down on campus today? I dunno if you're a student/on campus regularly/ever, but it's hard to miss that black/gold 675.

  15. If any of you Coshocton folks are planning to ride this Sunday (4/5), any chance you'd mind having someone tag along? I've been really itching to learn the area and get more experience out there. Sunday's weather has been up in the air all week; theweatherchannel.com can't decide whether it's going to rain or not but I think it's going to be a decent day. I'm fairly certain I have the day off, and if I do work I'm usually off by 10 AM so I can be up there around 11:30. Lemmie know if anyone wants to hit up the area Sunday. I've got some chicken strips left on my new tires to burn off and some all-too-shiny knee sliders to scuff in (should I get that brave...)
  16. Ahhh dammit, wish I had seen this earlier. I was outside working on my bike and I'd love to take it out of the city and play with the new mods.
  17. Wouldn't that dry out the leather and f it up?
  18. Kay cool; original post said around 15 so I didn't know if that had changed at all. Also, if anyone is planning on bringing a digital camera capable of taking decent video, lemmie know. I wanna get one or both of my pulls on video for a 650r forum I post on I'd do it myself but Sony is a bunch of *($heads and are taking forever for getting the digital camera that I want out into retail stores *grumble*
  19. Pray thee, what quantity of dollars must I part with to attain just one of the aforementioned "shirts"?
  20. Wow that article is just filled with bad ideas. "Windshields, backlights and sunroofs are also slated to get reflective coatings starting in 2012." THAT'LL be fun to deal with when you've got the sun to your back at sundown and a line of cars coming at you.
  21. Wow, that had to be a fun trip.
  22. Man, it must suck for anyone who runs Windows Vista right now huh? Oh wait, not really. Vista Home Premium x64 here, no bugs or problems from any bugs or whatever. How do I work my superhuman techno-magickry? By making sure all my security shit is up to date and by having sensible web surfing practices. Don't ask me to teach you; it's a talent and not something you can learn apparently
  23. If you're adult enough to own and ride a motorcycle, you're adult enough to handle some naughty language
  24. Wow that blows. Good luck finding a job, I know all too well how hard it can be right now
  25. Factory turbo for the ER-6 engine? HELL YES PLEASE KAWI
