  1. I have a set of carbs that I was told are off of a Honda 700. Don't know what kind of 700, or even if it was really a Honda They do say Keihin on the body and VE on the bowl. Free to whoever wants them on the condition that is NOT just to resell or put up on ebay. Can pick up on morrow county this weekend on in Delaware (at work) during the week.
  2. I just liked this one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YSAQ67j4S_g
  3. I can't imagine that it would have enough torque to justify it over my IT200. That, and I would probably be pushing it on the physical size. I'm not a small fella (6', 270lbs). I am really hoping for something like a DR or even an XT in something decent sized. Cash will awalys work too, then I will go bike shopping in December when prices are down.
  4. I am just wanting something that is more "trail riding" friendly. I have an old IT200, but it doesn't have enough low end torque to haul my fat ass up the hills anymore. I thought this one would do it, but it just isn't made for the kind of riding that I want to do. I "think" that an older 4 stroker would be less jumpy and have the lower end torque that I am looking for. My IT200 works just fine (the brakes suck) for riding around the farm, but as the kids get older, I will want to head down to Somerset and hit some hills. It (the RM) will get posted on craigslist for $1200 obo after it gets a good spring cleaning. You guys get first dibs. We are a dual XBOX household so the PS3 is out.
  5. Repost from last fall. Rode some saturday and still don't want to keep it. 1996 RM250. Ohio Title. No clue on history or what all has been done to it. Starts good & runs fine. $1000 firm or trade for a thumper (4 stroke). I need something less hyper/spastic/dangerous than this. I will kill myself on it. Pics are from last fall, but it looks just the same. The only trade I would be interested in is a 4 stroke of the same size or bigger. Dual sport would be awsome and I can add cash if needed. Any trade needs to have a title! Test rides are fine up at the farm in Morrow County. You break it, you bought it.
  6. Yea, she probably gave blowjobs after the wedding too. Pretty much totally describes my marriage. NOT!!! Marriage is like a deck of cards. In the beginning all you need are 2 hearts and a diamond. Later on you only want a club and a spade.
  7. I looked at the stack of boxes of match grade .308 ($29 / box) and realized there there is a LOT of money just sitting there on the shelf. So, I bought myself a "jobsite box". Box heavy metal box with recessed padlocks. $250 new at Lowes & Home Depot. Ammo is a lot of money in a small little package and probably easy to resell.
  8. I have a recurring dream where I wake up in the barracks and have to get out to morning PT. I'm old, fat & none of my uniforms in my locker will fit my fat a$$. I try to convince the DI that I'm not supposed to be there but it doesn't go well. It's been over 20 freakin' years and I still have that stupid dream.
  9. I personally would go with "Nugent & Norris - 2012" Let's see what happens when a towelhead throws his show at either on of them.
  10. I've bought, sold & traded from guys at both sites. 1 more for the list (that appears to be down at the moment). http://www.swapgiant.com/-89/posts/50_Sporting_Goods/235_Firearms_Ammo_Accessories/ (Currently looking for a lightweight bolt action .223 and Browning Buck Mark).
  11. Old guys are the only ones that can afford all of the full auto crap. I went down around 12 years ago and it is a good time if you are a machinegun loving-redneck-hilljack. I had a good time. Slept in the back of the exploder and came home sunday morning. I got to run a magazine through a full-auto/suppressed Ruger 10/22 for $5. A good 5 seconds of fun right there. I figured out that the guy could have easily paid for his rifle, suppressor and tax stamps in just that one weekend.
  12. Bump with price drop on the RM. $1000 firm.
  13. I was half seriously thinking of something like this after my crash. Of course I was drugged up high as a kite, but it seemed like a good idea at the time. You would probably want a smooth blade so the deer didn't stick. Yea, this was designed by a guy who hit a deer and totalled his bike too.

You break it, you bought it.
  15. 71K miles.Wiring is good except for headlight, front turn signals & clock.
  16. Before I start stripping it to sell parts, I thought I would see if there is any interest in the complete bike. I hit a deer with it Aug. 2nd and the wife says no more bikes (for a while anyway). The good: It starts & runs clean title The bad: all front plastics busted. radiator trashed rear rim bent handlebars busted $1000 with hard bags and what is left of the front plastics (and excellent stock windshield that was not in crash) $900 as shown in he pictures (I sell off the other stuff) High resolution detailed pics. http://www.shawnware.com/crashpics/rightside.jpg http://www.shawnware.com/crashpics/leftside.jpg http://www.shawnware.com/crashpics/front_left.jpg http://www.shawnware.com/crashpics/front.jpg http://www.shawnware.com/crashpics/front_right.jpg http://www.shawnware.com/crashpics/handlebars.jpg http://www.shawnware.com/crashpics/rim.jpg Shoot me a note if interested. Prices are firm as I am already getting hit up for parts off of it.
  17. I only had liability ($28 / year). I was trying to keep everything as cheap as possible to minimize the amount of bitching from the wife. It was a 17 year old bike, but overall a BIG mistake on my part. Screw up (in order). - Riding too fast when I hit the deer (yea, it was above 50) - not wearing my jacket & gloves (too hot) - not having comprehensive insurance (added $50 / year)
  18. WAHOO!!! The pins are out of my hands!!! I'm giddy!!! (as in happy, not gay) Wifey still says "uhh, no" when I bring up another bike, but I can use all fingers!!!!! Road rash is nearly completely gone, but hip still hurts. Yea, I'm that easy to please. Enjoy your bike while you can, it an become a pile of broken pieces REAL quick! - Shawn
  19. It was right about 5pm. Just a typical day heading home from work like every other day. I started back to work on monday. Hip is doing much better but started having severe rib pain & trouble breathing in the middle of the night on mon night. Had a CT scan but don't know the results yet. I was feeling relly good until then. I stopped again at the crash site and stepped it off from the point of impact to where I was laying. Somewhere between 60 - 70 yards. Probaby a damn good thing that I can't remember it. I have decided to part out the bike, so let me know if anyone needs any ST parts. It did start up after adding oil and cranking for about 5 seconds. 95 hp go cart???? hmmmm........
  20. Tom, she is just going to tell you that "Nobody needs more than 1 motorcycle!"
  21. This is from the point of impact. The green stuff if all deer crap. The red spot on the blacktop in the lower right part of the picture is where I was laying. The deer wasn't ripped in half like I was told, but it was pretty messed up.
  22. These are the 2 sites I use most to find guns for sale locally. http://www.swapgiant.com/-89/posts/50_Sporting_Goods/235_Guns_Ammo/ and http://www.armslist.com/ You will have to select Ohio from the list. Use common sense when meeting with a total stranger who knows you have a lot of cash on you.
  23. Once I get up and around (few weeks) I'll see if it still runs & get with back with you.
  24. Hi all. Surgery was yesterday with pins in both hands. Left hip hurt like hell so they ran me through an MRI. Hip isn't broken (according to doc), but hip socket, pelvis & tailbone all have fractures. No surgery for them, just keep weight of of them. Road rash is healing pretty quick. I am still hoping to see pics of the accident scene. Trooper said the deer was ripped in half. I don't remember crap other than a flash of brown, hearing plastic crunching & waking up on pavement. I honestly don't know that I would be able to enjoy riding again. Saying that I am paranoid about deer now would be an understatement. 2 in cages & this one. The wife says "hell no" about another bike. Be careful guys, even if you aren't doing anything wrong, the furry little bastards can still try to kill you.
  25. That would be me. Going around 50 & trooper said I split the deer in half. Woke up about 50 ft away faceup on the pavement. Don't remember shit but a blur of brown fur and hearing the fairing crunch. Lots of rash & surgery friday on both hands to pin bones together. Hip hurts like a mother, but X-ray said it isn"t broken. MRI on thursday to confirm. Jacket & gloves in the saddlebags doesn't help much. I will post accident pics once I get them. Bike is in lots of little pieces.
