  1. From the album: stuff

1987 Concours. Bought for $900 and going to learn to paint on this one. Completely redone mechanically from front to back. In lots of pieces and still needs painted. I built it as though I was going to keep it, I am going to lose my A$$ when I sell this one.
  2. I did some more research and have decided that I'm not going to risk it. Cash is king. I need to buy myself one of those counterfeit pens, so when there is a stack of cash, I can check any that seem questionable. Thanks for the advice.
  3. How long would this typiclly take if he puts it on his CC? Hours, days weeks?
  4. I am selling my CBR ($2900) and I have a guy who wants to pay half cash / half Paypal. I assume it is so he can put it on a credit card. Of course I would much rather have cash, but I can understand his request. He said that he can buy it a lot sooner if he can do half paypal. As long as he adds the 3% to cover paypal fees, how else can I get screwed on this? Thoughts?
  5. --- FOUND ONE --- I am looking for a HiPoint 995 9mm carbine. I think it would make a nice dedicated "trunk gun" to compliment the GHB (get home bag). Fin, feather fur had them for $245 so I am hoping for less than that unless it has an ATI stock or something like that. No rush, but I figured I'd throw it out there.
  6. I guess I would like to keep it nicer that the duct tape method. It is a Corbin seat and isn't totally trashed (yet).
  7. Yep. $800 to a guy on the ST forum who had an identical bike with over 100K on it. I ended up adding $100 to get a replacement Connie. It doesn't have near the class of the ST, but it will get the job done.
  8. I want to get the seat redone on my 87 Concours. Several of the seams have ripped out and my options are ebay a replacement (~$150+) or recover the existing one. Anyone have any recommendations or places to avoid? N. side of Cols or Delaware area would be great, but I can ship if the price is right.
  9. --- SOLD --- for full $2900 I am posting here first, it will probably go on craigslist tonight. It is time to pass this one off and move on to the next bike. This was bought as a non-running (neglected) bike for the purpose of fixing up to resell. I need the $$ for the next project bike. It's a hobby. 1999 CBR 600F4 19,xxx miles This is a nice clean totally stock (unmolested) bike. This is a very clean, sharp looking bike. New Bikemaster battery - 1 yr warranty from Iron Pony Oil & filter changed - Honda GN4 10w30 / K&N Oil Filter Air filter replaced (K&N) Brake fluid flushed (front & rear DOT4 fluid) Spark Plugs - NGK CR9EH-9 Carbs cleaned & balanced carb float valves replaced (all 4) Fuel filter replaced Vacuum & fuel lines replaced - new hose clamps on everything front & rear brake pads all replaced There are some small scuffs on both side fairings, but no cracks. Tires and seat are in very good shape. It has a clean OH title and is ridden daily. I am not in a hurry to sell. $2900 firm / no trades for anything but another bike with potential to fix & flip. The bike is just south of Delaware at work during the week (Cols. State) and Close to Chesterville (Morrow County) evening and weekends.
  10. Here is the pic. Honestly, I kinda see a future in this one.
  11. HA! Now that's funny stuff right there! +1 for the Buckmark. A little pricey, but accurate & reliable.
  12. Before I go buy a new one, I figured that I'd ask here. I need the tool to adjust the pilot screws on a Honda (Keihin carb with D - shaped head on the pilot screw). I want the whole kit for future use, but I need the Hona one right now. This is what I am hoping for: http://www.motosport.com/dirtbike/MOTION-PRO-90-DEGREE-CARB-TOOL-WITH-BITS If no responses within a week, I'll just buy a new one.
  13. Take (& post) before and after pics. I just like seeing the process of something that has been neglected get transformed into something nice again.
  14. Anybody see this yet? Honest reviews?
  15. Title pretty much says it. I want a flintlock rifle/musket. Something mechanically sound that won't blow up in my face. I don't really care about cosmetic condition as refinishing it would be a good project to do with the boys. Both of them are studying the revolutionary war in school now and this is as good of an excuse as any to buy a new toy. They know modern guns, but I want to teach them about what they used to be like so they can appreciate the current technology.
  16. Just a followup here. MRE's showed up today. Here is the contents of the "Chicken Noodle Stew with vegtables" meal. Powdered drink mix nut rasin mix sugar cookies dry fruit main entree heater pack & utensil pack (with coffee) no peanut butter.
  17. Ready Made Resources Looks like $89 / case with free shipping http://www.readymaderesources.com/cart//storable-food-units/meals-ready-to-eat-mre-/mre-case-12-meals-free-shipping/prod_486.html I am going to order a case of these: http://www.mre-meals.net/products.php?cat=Complete+MRE+Meals 12 meals with heaters for $74 shipped
  18. I was just doing a Google search for mre ohio and this thread came up. I figure that the Domsday Preppers show will rack up sales of survival gear nationwide as people watch and think "Hmmm, maybe that isn't such a bad idea". I want to have a case of them or so just to keep some in the "go bag" and have them on hand for camping with the boys.
  19. I'm a 22-250 fan as well, but if it is 200yds max, a .223 would probably do just fine. http://www.armslist.com/posts/284615/columbus-ohio-rifles-for-sale--remington-700-sps-tactical Spend a couple of hundred on a good scope to go with it and it would be a nice little rifle.
  20. It's just the angle of the pic. They are both the same size.
  21. ----- GONE ----- I found this on the way in to work on the side of the road half in the ditch. Close to Alum Creek if anyone cares. Motobecane Nomade 1. Old, heavy, tires hold air, but should be replaced. Money would be great, but getting it out of my office would be better (meaning FREE if you are cheap) Located at Cols. State campus just south of Delaware.
  22. This was my thought too. Keep punching the throttle and let the black smoke roll!
  23. Fixed. Good freakin' greif, it's like dealing with a bunch of women. Bitch, moan and then bitch some more....
  24. - SOLD - I bought this a few months ago off of MeefZah and haven't even put the first round through it. Here is his original posting, nothing has changed so it still applies. I paid $400 + $20 for the holsters. Not desperate to sell, just don't see myself shooting it and figured I'd just see if anyone else wanted it.
  25. I was going to put this trigger on it (http://www.sharpshootersupply.com/CenterfireTriggers.html), but ended up just moving up to another Savage with the accutrigger already on it. And, yes, it is SWEET. This trigger really isn't bad at all, but I just couldn't turn down the chance to upgrade.
