  1. I need to have a gun to support the idea of limited government, and to support a specific candidate... well if you say so:confused: It's not a question of cognition, it's just an unnecessary risk... I could dig a pit near my front door and fill it with punji sticks...or wrap a 100,000 volt 100 amp electric fence around my yard...it would solve a problem that I don't have, and introduce more risk into the situation than it neutralizes... As with this case, the old timer wasn't being robbed, he just fired on and killed his own child. Great job, now your gun, instead of protecting your family from a threat that wasn't really a threat, you've killed one of your own children because of a misunderstanding.
  2. And you thought mutt no-cancer was some new mascot.
  3. J.alexanders is pretty good, kinda wanted to steer clear of a chain though...
  4. It's precisely the reason I don't carry a gun... The only people murdering each other here are spouses and rarely drug deals gone bad.
  5. Put this in the northeast section cause I KNOW some of you guys know of good restaurants on the east side. Rawlins is considering planning a trip up friday, he asked me if there were any really good local restaurants, and in ashtabula county the best we really got is covered bridge pizza. Not really good enough. I know there are some high end classy restaurants around 271, that's a pretty affluent area... beachwood maybe? My fav steakhouse is the cabin club, but that is west side, and quite a bit out of his way for this trip. any ideas? bad, likwid?

  7. I love my couch for street use... it'll hang in the corners as hard as I'm willing to push it, it's got a little more relaxed riding position, and all the "go" you could ask for.
  8. wait wait wait, WUT? your kid is fine flying through the air like a sparrow... but on the ground and on 2 wheels, that's too dangerous?
  9. maybe, maybe not... it's a lot easier to come across 5 or 6k than 50k... in cash especially, but also for a loan amount...
  10. I buy everstart max (neverstart) batteries from walmart... they are cheap, they have the amperage required to do the job, and they have a 3 year replacement guarantee... for my needs they work great. If you need something better, go get yourself an optima red top and be done with it.
  11. if i were you i'd either buy a new stereo (pioneer) and wire it myself or start calling junkyards in the area for same make/year vehicles to see what they'd charge for the radio harness.
  12. perhaps I should FWD this email to the smithsonian as the world's oldest spam...
  13. I gree with cheech in that you've met your responsibility and done your due diligence, that doesn't mean you can't do more. It just means that you shouldn't be expected to do more. I still think an off-roading expedition would be fun for you guys.
  14. I'd say armor him up and put him on an ass-kicker dirt bike, 600cc thumper or something, take him trail riding, let him crash a few times... quads are cheating
  15. i started on a kaw 550 LTD, then went to a honda CB750, and when I got the XX, it was still too much bike for me at the time... difference was that i already had a few drops and goofs under my belt so I knew what to expect, and some of the right instincts to correct problems before they got bad.... there is also a slim chance it will work out fine...
  16. I'd say the cost is probably prohibitive enough... Unless he's been saving and has cash to buy one, he'll have to carry full coverage, so you got the bike payment, another 300/month in insurance, and finally storage cost unless he wants it stolen from the driveway.
  17. every day, my furthest commute was ashtabula to solon, 5 days a week, for 9 months travel, i got sent to utsonomiya japan for 2 days this year to do trials at honda's R&D center.
