  1. He's sick of riding slow... dude, get a busa.... you know it's what you REALLY want... just get it.
  2. technically no, all I have is a mortar... cannons "fire", mortars "lob"
  3. Sorry, I don't have a link... just thought it was funny ben posted like 4 new threads in rapid succession about weird motorcycle related news with no editorial, just a title and a link... *chuckle*
  4. microcenter is my go-to... they usually treat me right.
  5. By all means shop around, it's just easy to narrow down what you're looking for the way best buy has their website set up... give me all intel, then narrow by screen size, then order by price... so on and so forth...
  6. I think 14 or 15 is a perfect balance if she's going to be using it for both. It's big enough to be useful on it's own, but not so big and bulky that it's a pain to open and use and carry on a daily basis. You can also buy a big monitor (or use a lcd/led/dlp like I do) in conjunction with a wireless keyboard and mouse set for use at home when you want a better interface than the little laptop keyboard, touchpad, and small screen.
  7. this is in your ballpark http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Asus+-+15.6%26%2334%3B+Laptop+-+4GB+Memory+-+320GB+Hard+Drive+-+Black/5218639.p?id=1218627594187&skuId=5218639
  8. Your mileage may vary, I've left mine on my bed before, transferring music and processing... it did get hot, but never overheated to the point where it stopped working. but if you don't want atom, that's cool. you can get something pretty reasonable with an i3 for around your price range.... I'd stick to the big names though... just me.
  9. I'm pretty happy with my little 10.1 acer netbook for that sort of stuff, $250 brand new, mine came with XP which I prefer, but my heather's came with 7 starter... super light, super portable... if i had to do it over again, I'd probably upgrade to a 14 or 15 inch as the 10 doesn't quite have enough screen space to do everything efficiently. When i need more screen space, I hook it up to my 32" samsung and crank up the resolution... it works pretty well.
  10. that would be more like this, wouldn't it?
  11. ROUND 2 Goes to bad bad barry. Good to know that Will Mitt has a binder full of women though.
  12. I bet with the gyro and the front to back wheel configuration, this thing would stay upright on wet ice...be interesting to see... I used to ride a bicycle on the frozen pond behind my grandmothers house, I just kept the rear wheel spinning as fast as possible regardless of how fast I was actually travelling, and I could keep it upright usually.

based on what I've seen, it does both quite well. You don't have as much clearance as a standard 4 wheeler because of the hull, but it does quite well on the water. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xOCxT89ynbA
  14. Round 2 coming up tonight... BTW you can all vote early... http://news.yahoo.com/high-court-wont-block-early-voting-ohio-163329015--election.html
  15. I did the freeway from kingman to the hoover dam at night.... what a blast, just screaming at very illegal speeds through long sweeper after long sweeper through the canyons...so much fun
  16. no car tires in the pictures I've seen... turning is done by leaning with help from the gyroscope... http://techcrunch.com/2012/09/10/lit-motors-will-shake-up-the-electric-vehicle-market-with-its-two-wheeled-untippable-c-1/
  17. it's a baby ninja, clean it up and park it inside...
  18. this bird has a 32" waist despite being 20 pounds heavier...
  19. http://news.yahoo.com/video/gyro-stabilized-electric-motorcycle-hits-020759644.html Gyroscope keeps it upright, even when stopped... many of the amenities of a car: enclosed cabin, crash cage, etc... on a 2 wheel platform... Kinda cool... could be a reasonable alternative to a car for some.

$40,000 is pricey for a quad OR a jet ski...it's also pricey for a quad AND a jet ski... if it were less than half that, it might be considered.... but for 40k I'll pass... now if someone wants to give me one... or says "here, ride this" I'm on board...
