I recently switched from K&N to an Amsoil equivalent. Amsoil filter has the same million mile warranty, but you can just used compressed air to blow it out rather than having to soak it and oil it. No oiling!

Yeah, I know the glide and king can go the distance, but being air cooled they tend to warm you legs a bit tooo much for my liking on long hauls.

I just went through this regarding an '07 accident (me vs. two cars) In this wonderful state of Ohio, she will sue you for your max insurance pay out and will win unless your insurance fights it on your behalf. IF you really want to fight this and win, you will need to get an accident investigator working on this. When it comes to victim rights, the state of Ohio sucks.

How far from all the way in was the plug before you realized it was cross threaded? If not all but all the way, just re tap the damn thing and if you're that worried about couple of metal shards making it past the magnetic drain plug, buy some crap cycle oil and run through it before you put it back on the road.

naaa, you're better off changing the oil before the riding season. Condensation will build in the oil if bike is just sitting all winter. Better to drain off the oil/condensation mix before the season.

If you don't already, connecting the bike to a battery tender pays for itself the first winter storage. Keeps the battery maintained to peak w/o over charging and frying.
