  1. If the battery wont charge, it's probably done and you need to get a new one. That's what I had to do last weekend.
  2. I would assume that the reason he asked you that is because there ARE people who drive other peoples cars. Your car could have been in the shop and you borrowed your buddies car to go out to eat with your family. I don't see how that makes him a dumbass.
  3. Welcome to the site. Any pictures of your bike?
  4. I went for a ride today. If I had your info, I would have called you.
  5. Nothing... I'm hardcore! Actually, I hate having a tinted visor and then going for a ride at night. I wear glasses and can't wear sunglasses. I don't have those shades that fit over my glasses.
  6. Welcome to the site. I'm up in Huber as well.
  7. Got my membership card in the mail the other day.
  8. Ok, I got it fixed... It was an inline fuse, going to my speed-o-healder, that came out when I replaced the battery. Going for a short ride tomorrow, then I need to change the fluids.
  9. Ok, I just fired up the bike since the fall. I went for a ride today and it was awesome. Only problem is that the speedometer is not working. I did a little searching and found that if the speed sensor isn't working, it will throw a code. There are no codes. I have my RPMs and everything else... Just not my speed. I'm not sure if I forgot to plug something back in or what. I did look all over and made sure everything was plugged in, but who knows if I overlooked something..... You know what... I'm going to go check my speed-o-healer... I bet something happened when I got a new battery. Maybe a lose connection or something. Do those things hold any info or is it all set by the switches? (It was installed on my bike when I bought it. I know nothing about them other than what they do)
  10. The people who can get their parts back in a day or two. That's who.
  11. You have it all wrong. If it jeopardises safety, then it is an unlawful order. If a supervisor comes in and say to his troop, "You will sit in this chair for 2 hours and not get out." That is not an unlawful order. It might not be legit, but it is not an unlawful order. You don't know why the supervisor told him to sit there. The troop DOES have to sit there. If he gets out, HE is the one in trouble. Now on the other hand, if the supervisor tells his troop to climb up a 200 ft crane, with no safety gear, the troop can refuse, because it is a safety issue and is also an unlawful order. Get how it works now?
  12. Happy birthday... I'd love to go, but it probably won't happen. Have fun and take pics.
  13. If they didn't want to participate, they don't have to. Like I've said, I've NEVER seen anyone who was forced to participate in prayer or even being forced to stand together or whatever. As long as they don't leave the area, they are good. Be respectful to me and I'll be respectful to you.
  14. Damn dude... I thought you were riding in from Colorado or something, but man... you're only an hour down the road. You haven't been to Dayton before?
  15. I was wondering how many military people we have on here. I joined the military back in 97. I wouldn't call myself oldschool, but things back then were different than they are now. People say that they shouldn't be forced to stand there while a prayer is being said to "in God's name". Well, as far as the Air Force is concerned, "God's name" is whatever got you believe in. Not a certain God. Shoot, if you pray to the money god, then that's it. I have NEVER heard anyone force any kind of religion upon any military member. I think this guy is just trying to find a reason to complain. ALSO, when you join the military, you give up some of your rights. You cannot compare civilian life to military life. When I went to boot camp, I was yelled at, I was cursed at, I was made to do things that I didn't like or what to. But I did them, because those were the rules. That's what I signed up for. I didn't like the yelling and the making fun of. Why should this guy get away with hearing something he doesn't like and get away with it? Man up! The military isn't the Cub Scouts, it's the military. If your feelings get hurt over others praying, then maybe you should join http://www.redhatsociety.com/. If they were praying a muslim prayer, I would stand there, for respect of everyone around me. But then again, not everyone is as considerate as I am. Certainly not the guy who got upset about a prayer being said.
  16. It looks like you have to hold the throttle where you want it and turn the bar-end to tighten it.
  17. How hard is it to turn this thing while keeping the throttle where you want it, with one hand?
  18. Here are 2 pictures 30 minutes apart, outside my window. Snowing... Snowing with sun & clear skies. (you can barely see the snow in the picture)
  19. I've been in many different career fields recently. Where do I start?
