If you're gonna die, you might as well have fun doing it!
street pilot replied to excell's topic in Daily Ride
I was just playin, its your bike do what ya want. When you lower a bike you destroy the handling, but then again you said you are not a twisty fellow (ohioan) so its probably not important to you. At least verify it was done right (front & rear). Doesnt look like the lower is beat at all, did the previous owner say anything about killer speedbumps? Is it leaking something or is the plastic just there for precaution? Should be a blast for you. smile.gif -

Should be quite the jump from your old bike. Oh, and raise that thing back up -
I know good mattresses are crazy expensive. I think my parents may have a queen size waterbed they would come off of for cheap. PM me if you are interested and I will get the details.

Or you could go to Lowes and pick up some ABS cement. It is ABS resin dissolved in MEK solvent. Add some "cat hair" and the chit dries harder than new. graemlins/thumb.gif

Debate of the day: Synthetic Oil Life
street pilot replied to Mowgli1647545497's topic in Passing Lane
3K is a joke. It was a dealer scam everyone bought into. The length of effectiveness of your oil is going to be determined by the filter moreso than the oil. -
If its too good to be true.... http://www.eham.net/reviews/detail/4623 If you need cordless, why not go butane? *edit: ^^strange. maybe you just need to use it properly?

I know a lot of people dont like reserve auctions, so consider stating the reserve price in the auction or just start the bidding close to what you want. Just an idea. If you want it to be all fancy style with flash and shit, carad.com does that but its like $10 more. It is nice though, because you can start building your listing, and work on it for a couple days before actually listing it. put a lot of pictures up, and make sure to put some statements to cover your butt, like "sold as-is", no returns, buyer responsible to look at truck before bidding, etc. I have sold a couple of bikes on ebay and I always say they are welcome to check it out in person, and I encourage it, but no one ever has. But if you tell them to, at least they cant say some shit like "its not what I expected." good luck. (my dad is looking for a truck, what is it?)

The wheels are powdercoated. The back wheel also has small machined grooves that would need sanded out. All hoblick was saying is that a buffer and any compound wont cut it. I'm sure your dude does good work if the wheels were polished at one point.

Just do it yourself. You realize its pretty easy, right? (espescially if you just do the lips.) I can tell you what to do if you want.

Nice, but I am not impressed until I see a burnout on the hardwood floor. graemlins/grin2.gif Did you stand that thing up by yourself?

Thats cool, I got my girl to take the MSF class last year. She really enjoyed it, but she doesnt have a bike yet.. I dunno though, it makes me a little nervous to think about her on the street by herself, maybe we will look for a scooter to start with If you have any interest in getting her into that MSF course, now is the time to reserve a spot. She will definitely learn a thing or two, and also would get her endorsement that way.

Anybody know how much memory is needed for windows 2000 or xp??
street pilot replied to CJINOHIO03's topic in Dumpster
XP will run with 128Mb and 466Mhz. That is the lowest I have gone with it. I run 2000 on anything less powerful. -
At least you werent in the vette! smile.gif

The tires have some camber wear, but in the center of the tire, the best tire measures 5/32nds tread depth, and the worst measures 3/32nds. Pics (very dirty in second pic): http://www.theprolificmind.com/fivz.jpg http://www.theprolificmind.com/GSRS.jpg

That sucks, I would think anyone going to a pound to adopt a dog could give it a better life than a prison environment. Have you ever owned a dog before? The one reason I can think of is that Rotts are a dominant dog, so they may deny someone who has never owned a dog because they need to be trained "properly" or "well" I guess. If thats the case, put that you have owned several Rotts before on your app.

The FZR 600 comes in blue too. Here is an older one: http://www.tourtimemedia.com/fzr/93fzr600.jpg And I just read you hate Triumphs. Oh well, sweet bikes, I am leaving the pics up. graemlins/finger.gif BMW makes some kick ass blue bikes too, check out their website for those, I am guessing they are out of your price range though.

Buell CityX XB9SX/ XB12 http://www.lancasterhd.com/image/05_cityx.jpg Buell Blast http://www.lancasterhd.com/image/05_blast_bblue.jpg I ignored your comment about 600cc because the yzf600r "thundercat" and SV650 sound like they fit your requirements to a "T" other than size. Not only that, but they can both be picked up pretty cheap also ($3-4K). Additionally, should you happen to drop it, parts are readily available and relatively inexpensive. I have my reasons for suggesting a 600, but I will save the speech until it is asked for. I like the 600s I listed above because they are great "all-around" bikes. The Triumph Speed Triple and Four, Katana, YZF600R, SV650S, and Buell Firebolt probably have the most aggressive seating position of those listed, (my best guess) but not quite as extreme as the GSXR you mentioned. Remember there are usually ways to tweak that a bit as well. There are some gems (Aprilia) and some turds (can-o-tuna) in that list, but that is for each person to figure out on their own, so I just threw all the ones I know of out. I dont know if that list will help, but it should keep you busy for a while. *Did you sell that ninja? [ 26. February 2005, 05:29 AM: Message edited by: Innocuous ]

Here are blue bikes I can think of that seem to fit your description: Yamaha YZF600R http://www.townandcountrymotorsports.com/yamaha/motorcycles/sportbikes/images/04YZF600_BLU_4.gif Yamaha FZ1 http://www.dynamohumm.com/YAMAHA/YAMAHA_MAIN_files/FZ1-blue-md2004.jpg Aprilia SL 1000 Falco smile.gif http://www.biscaya.com/images/falco-blue.jpg Suzuki Bandit 1200 http://www.koups.com/sales/suzuki/images/2002_models/GSF1200s_blue.jpg Suzuki SV650/SV650S/SV1000/SV1000S http://www.koups.com/sales/suzuki/images/1999_models/SV650-Blue.jpg http://www.stickyc.com/sv650/sv650s_1_blue.jpg [ 26. The thing is, its pointless in my opinion to buy a bike based solely on the color. Especially that Z1000, since there is not that much paint on it to begin with. Buy it, then wait for your first scratch or drop or whatever excuse, then take the pieces off and have them sprayed. Since there is only a few pieces, that bike could probably have a nice paint layed for $200 or so.
