  1. I dont know him, but that type of "entrapment" is bullshit. Border line harassment. I hope the kid walks free.
  2. I am a bit confused about your story. When did the chain break? Just before you stopped? Anyway, The clutch "goo" you saw was most likely motor oil. The pin you saw was probably the end of your clutch pushrod. The rubber strap, I dont know, but could have been the pushrod oil seal. When the chain broke is relavent to the story. On those bikes, the clutch pushrod is in the direct path of the chain, when the chain breaks it breaks that rod 99% of the time. I doubt the pushrod could have broken or even been damaged in a stationary tip over, as it is protected by the front sprocket cover. The good news is that it is a pretty simple fix and shouldnt be too expensive. Let me know if you need any help. The bad news is there are other critical parts in the path of that chain. Definitely check out your water pump for leaks. A sad design by yamaha. graemlins/nonono.gif
  3. oh well, shit happens I suppose. At least your subframe bolts on and isnt welded.
  4. I use Motorex chain cleaner with a brush (if its bad) to clean the grime off. Then you should use a non-petroleum based wax/lube. I use Honda lube, a teflon based lubricant.
  5. http://www.competitionaccessories.com/ has some pretty good prices, with no shipping cost if you pick them up in springfield. I have heard nothing but good about the Pilot Powers, so I think I will try those as my next buns. smile.gif
  6. i dunno about that... but if you have a specific question, feel free to ask! smile.gif
  7. Definitely list it. Its free, so no big deal if it doesnt sell. I have sold 90% of my books and most were for as much as I paid. (I buy from amazon too)
  8. Very nice. graemlins/grin2.gif
  9. Your tires need to be around 90%. Keep a wad of cash prepared, as you will probably need a new rear at least. You have another post asking about a textile suit, then this one asking about track gear... Why not get a leather suit?
  10. put some anti-sieze where the wheel contacts the hub so it is not so hard next time.
  11. You are effectively adding "JET-DRY" to your wash and/or rinse water. In case you didnt know, it is used in dishwashers for that spot free shine. Use the liquid, not the tablets.
  12. looks good, so you got the brakes straightened out? Also, I just noticed the link in your sig for six14stunt directs to six14stunt.net graemlins/thumb.gif
  13. Sounds like the textile jacket did its job then. graemlins/thumb.gif It's not supposed to be re-usable like leather often can be. The main purpose of the outer shell (as I understand it) is to hold the armor in and help slide.
  14. Its just air... a shitload of it... Most of it will come out when you bleed the bolt right at the master cyl. where the two lines connect. Pull in the lever and hold it while you crack that bolt. You will hear the air gush out. Tighten it, release the lever, pump it a couple times, then repeat. That should get some feel back to it, then move to the calipers. smile.gif
  15. These are very nice summer gloves. Dainese makes top of the line stuff for those that dont know. Unfortunately they dont fit me. I cant return them because they were brought back from Italy as a gift. Brand new, never worn. Style: Moto-X Size: XL $50. http://www.theprolificmind.com/gloves6.jpg http://www.theprolificmind.com/gloves7.jpg
  16. http://www.kcplazasportbikes.com/videos/Sjaak_the_World.wmv On a r1; awesome! graemlins/eek2.gif
  17. In the future, you could just toss a scrap piece of wood (2x6" ideal) under each front tire then drive up onto them instead of getting a new jack.
  18. That happened to me at Panera the other day. I had a $5 gift card and the girl kept swiping it and saying it had nothing on it. Eventually I said fuck it and just paid with cash, nothing I could do I guess, but what a crock of shit!
  19. Please shoot me a price for a set of Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revos, 31x10.5x15 thanks. smile.gif
  20. I dont know about those bikes exactly, but in general (same year same size) the GSX-R will have a more aggressive stance than the Kawi. (Rearsets will be higher and farther back, more torso lean, etc.) You would have to sit on the bikes to really decide what you like better. Definitely both will be much more extreme than your old F2. As far as a passenger goes, it will probably be a sore ride after a while, but she will still want to ride all the time Not nearly as cushy as your F2 (for rider or passenger).
  21. Its not mine, but since the model number is the same, I am guessing that is probably it. If you are interested I can give you a contact number. Plus a $1200 spool gun, probably this one: http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/item.asp?P65=&tool=all&item_ID=12628&group_ID=1737&store=snapon-store&dir=catalog And since the seller said it was a MIG/TIG combo, it might come with this $500 kit... not sure about that though. Again, if you are interested I will put you in touch with the seller. http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/item.asp?P65=&tool=all&item_ID=12626&group_ID=1737&store=snapon-store&dir=catalog
  22. Snap-On MM250SL 250 Amp MIG/TIG combo welder. Comes with a Aluminum spool gun. $3500
