Little Al Posted September 18, 2013 Report Share Posted September 18, 2013 Hi fellas, ladies... My name's Ryan. I don't have a bike but I'm always keeping an eye out. I'm hoping to find a '77 KZ1000. I spent nearly every weekend of my childhood at Trails, Mt. Vernon, MCIR, Xenia...you name it. My dad raced a Kaw forever...damn near until he died. Wandered Bruce Sauer's shop many times as a kid while he and Dad did whatever they were doing to Dad's bike(I was a bit young to stay focused on turning wrenches). If we weren't there we were at another shop working on it. I'm 33 now, have a son of my own and am looking forward to turning wrenches with him. He is 3 and is always begging to come help me in the garage. I'm working on a boat project now, but when that is finished I'll focus my efforts on find that '77 KZ. I don't plan to make it a full blown drag bike, but I have seen a few bikes online and one in Bruce's old shop a few years back that were exactly what I have in mind. Something like this...
