Canadians think Crown Royal is good whiskey

Crown Royal isn't even on comparison lists of best Canadian whiskey.

Top of the list is Glen Breton Rare 10 Year Old Single Malt Whisky for $85 rated 95/100.

Highest "best buy" is Royal Canadian Small Batch Canadian Whisky for $19.99 rated 93/100. I'd like to try this one.

My Dad always bought Canadian Mist and Canadian Club. And I agree.

Close to the same as Black Velvet Reserve but two bucks cheaper.

(Except that the pint is in a stupid plastic bottle.)

More interesting, I tried a Tequila that a friend picked up in duty free in Mexico City. 200 pesos.

Really nice and smooth. I think it was an older Cuestion Tequila.

edit: Heard it was Esperanto tequila. I was wrong.

Crown royal is terrible whiskey... Not even drinkable.

Crown maple is the worst especially. Puke.

Plus, if you drink too much crown, you end up kissing a fish.. And I don't mean a trashy dirty pill head.

Agree Crown maple is like drinking your muddy shoes with pankakes.

That fish was HAWT! No one blames you.

Green Spot for Irish Whiskey!

Crown isn't bad, I like Crown Black, has a nice smokey flavor.

Macallan for Scotch....

Blanton's for Bourbon, awesomely smooth.

Anything in a Mason jar at my house if you like homemade.  :)

+1 Blanton's.... I have a drawer full of the pewter horses.

Free and cold always works for me. I am no liquor snob. I do have some strong beer preferences, but you can't go wrong with free and cold.

Don't let him fool ya, ive almost got him converted to a miller lite drinker. ;)

Crown isn't bad, I use it to make Canadian love (crown and Canada dry). For irish I go with red breast single pot 18 yr ($98). For bourbon it's eagle rare or Woodford reserve. Scotch I like glenmorhange 15 yr or higher. But I'll drink whatever you're buying.

Tito's is an awesome sipping Vodka!

We have this store called Spec's, and it is the best liquor store I have ever been in.  http://www.specsonline.com/cgi-bin/showpage?pageid=main

Awesome liquor selection, outstanding beer selection, and the wines are phenomenal.  They even have a damn good Humidor.

Crown is ok.  A little sweet for my taste.

In order for my bourbon taste

Blantons (on special occasions)

Makers Mark (just lowered the price equal to the below for 750ml)

Bulliet Rye

Since switching from beer to bourbon, I have maintianed a 20lb weight lose for about 2 years.  Yes, I may have a small glass almost everynight, and maybe more.  But bourbon on the rocks is my drink of choice anymore, and my liver enzymes are just fine

Crown is way overrated...  Maker's Mark is much better.  Titto's is a cheap vodka that's good in mixed drinks.  Kettel one is an excellent sipper and preferred in my house.  OYO is even better for an occasional and unusual sipper.  Lagavulin 16...  aye laddy, that's gooder than sex.  Foo foo flavored liquor's are great for frat parties and raves.

Yes, I'm a liquor snob.  Yes, these are only my opinions.  And yes, a good shine beats all comers at a party.
