Tragic.  *Update - Brooks, 63, died at the University Cincinnati Medical Center Sunday from injuries he received in a crash as a motorcycle escort for a funeral procession in Cincinnati’s West End the day before.

Laid my mom to rest today and I had to keep my cool at all the disrespectful people that would not stop for her funeral procession. We were in the limo, 4th car back and there was a guy that cut between us and the hearse at stop sign as well as many others that would not pull off. A family member claimed they got the plate number of the car but i didn't follow up. We were lead by a patrol car but people still didn't do as they should have. If I was driving there would have been some road rage passed along on my behalf.

Sorry for your loss. It makes me sick how people disrespect those in mourning.

In TN, they still pull over on both sides of the road.

Outside of Nashville maybe.

On the rare occasion that I find myself opposite a funeral procession, I no longer pull off to the side. I stop in the middle, that leaves those behind me no choice other than to stop.

I almost ended one of those funeral escort bikes a few years ago. He lead a procession onto I70 at Brice and then stopped his bike sideways on I70 aggressively motioning people to stop. Not smart, my motorcycling brother.
