I recently attended The Quail Motorcycle Gathering in Carmel, California, just outside of Monterey and nearby Laguna Seca. This isn't your average bike show and I definitely recommend if you ever are able to align this event with a trip to northern California in the middle of May next year, do it. The amount of classic, cool, collector bikes was amazing with over 400 bikes on display ranging from pre-1916 to modern Arch motorcycles (co-founded by Keanu Reeves who was also in attendance) and that's not including the number of bikes that rode to the event. Catered lunch and free ice cream are included in the cost and wine country is a short drive away. A really great atmosphere. There are rides available that offer laps around Laguna Seca and through the picture perfect Monterey peninsula countryside.
