JackImpact Posted September 25, 2016 Report Share Posted September 25, 2016 What tools will I need to remove my front and rear tire when it comes time for service or work? I have quite a set of tools, but I hate running into needing something specific at the last minute and having to go find it in the middle of the night. I've had bad luck with the the new style craftsmen ones. I really like the Kobalt ones. They are built nice, come with a hard case. I got 2 of them. All 4 of mine are Matco. 1 is a 1/4" inch lbs for tiny fasteners for plastic/magnesium/aluminum valve covers. Goes up to 80inch lbs. another is a 3/8" up to 300inch lbs. 3rd is a 3/8" 10 ft lbs to 100ftlbs 4th is a 1/2" 45ftlbs to 200ft lbs. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

And I've been changing tires for 20 years. Wolfman1 Posted September 29, 2016 Report Share Posted September 29, 2016 I have three Sears Craftsmen torque wrenches, small one that does in lbs., medium one that will go to about 40 ft lbs. and a larger one that goes to about 150 ft lbs.
