Does anybody stud tires on their bike for the winter

A few years ago we got snow so frequently that the roads didn't completely clear for 5 weeks in my neighborhood, the longest period of time I've ever gone without riding.  Towards the end, I just couldn't take it and pulled my old XL250R out of the shed, put on my snow suit and fired it up.  I only rode around the neighborhood for a half hour, slipping and sliding all over the place, but it was a blast so I started looking into studs.  I quickly decided that a proper set up (not just running some sheet metal screws in my tires) was more than I wanted to spend.  Plus, the salty slush accelerated the rust on my poor 30 year old bike.

I am am curious to see what you're using.
