This link has all the information about the NASA Mid-Ohio event. https://www.nasaproracing.com/nasa_event/show/?event_id=203

This link has all the information about the Ohio/Indiana Region of NASA.

Road course racing is not about horsepower. You have to turn both left and RIGHT. And to use your brakes, not just to slow down at the end of quarter mile straight run.

Well he does have the suspension set up for road racing, its more off a high speed racer to begin with. At 687 rwhp he lost in a 1/4 mile race to a camaro with the LS1( I think, don't know much about American cars.)

Initial accelleration sux, but it hits 180mph so...

But seriously Jon before you come out and embarrass yourself on a road course I would suggest you take the car to some autocross events. It will be cheaper and it is timed. You will learn how the car reacts and can make adjustments. This is the link to the events locally. http://www.ovr-scca.org/eventSchedules/solo.asp. They also have loaner helmets for "newbies".

Swami predicts lots of off track excursions for both you and friend.

It can get him a nice parking spot in china beach graemlins/thumb.gif

First timers, sign up for HPDE group 1. You dont belong out on a road course with other poeople until you get some schooling, and that is never more apparent then after the class, when you say "damn, I thought I knew shit, but I didn't".

It runs about $195 I think.

Hey if you are doing all the HPDE, this deal will save you $$$$$.

For sale is a certificate that is a season pass for 2005 Ohio-Indiana Region HPDE. This pass was won by a NASA member at Mid-Ohio last year however she is going to be unable to use it due to college obligations. Make a serious offer if you are interested and I'll see what Cindy says about it. Keep in mind that this certificate is for all 7 HPDE weekends in the Ohio-Indiana Region ONLY and that these events, if paid for 'out of pocket' will probably cost you over $2100. The first 3 events alone cost $1005. Contact Fast Saleen (Brian Flint), for more info or if you have a question.

Hey - China Beach is a great place to watch from.

HPDE runs close to $300 at most tracks, $400 at Mid-Ohio for the entire weekend.
