I'm screwed. any input?

I took some pics from under my car. The tranny is really wedged in. I can't slide the trany in because it's not centered, I can't drop it down because the input shaft is engaged with the pressure plate. I can't pull it back because the header is in the way. I don't think dropping the K-member will help because the "frame" is right there.

the left arrow is where the header contacts the tranny. The upper right arrow is where the header hits the frame, and teh lower where it hits the k-member.

look how close I am to getting it in. still can't force it tho. The input shaft is actually just barely touching teh fingers of the pressure plate.

the tranny is angled funny, so that is why i can't line it up to slide it in. Again, the header.

Jason, Do you have an inspection plate on the bottom of the trans large enough to get a socket into and on to the pressure plate bolts? The reason I ask is that on our (FD) trans, we take the pressure plate and clutch off of the flywheel and put it on the trans shaft. That way you have 2 -3 inches more room to get the trans lined up, and also do not have to line the splines up to shove it in. The inspection plate hole then can be used to put the pressure plate bolts in, and torque down.

Jesse and Vila helped/witnessed this with my trans last night.
